Councilman Rosselli moved <br />adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3158 AUTHORIZING THE EMPLOYMENT OF ADOLPH HURLIMANN AS STREET MAINTENANCE LEAD- <br />INGMAN AT THE THIRD SALARY STEP, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried unanimously on roll call, Coun- <br />cilman Rayer being noted absent. <br />Item 12 was deleted from the agenda for one week (request for permission for City Attorney to take necessary <br />action to collect delinquent personal property taxes). <br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3159 AUTHORIZING EXECUTION CF QUIT CLAIM DEED FOR PORTIONS <br />OF A STORM DRAIN EASEMENT IN BLOCK 3, FARM HILL N0. 3, and AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE OF AN ALTERNATE STORM <br />DRAIN EASEMENT TO BE RECEIVED IN EXCHANGE, seconded by Councilman R osselli and carried unanimously on roll <br />call, Councilman Royer being noted absent. <br />REQUEST OF REDWOOD CITY, SEQUOIA AND WOODSIDE TERRACE KIWANIS for permission to hang a banner across Arguello <br />and Broadway, August lst through August 20, 1960, advertising the pancake sale. Councilman Fields moved <br />to grant the pe mit, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried on roll call with Councilmen Fields, Granger, <br />Rosselli, Stehle and Mayor Weymouth voting yes, Councilman Herkner abstaining because he is a member of the <br />Kiwanis, and Councilman Royer being noted absent. <br />COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Haas and Haynie Corporation request the use of the parking lanes adjacent to the construction area where <br />they will construct a new building for,California Pacific Title Insurance Company. This area would be used <br />for the storage ,of construction equipment and materials, including a house trailer which has been converted <br />for office use. The use of such areas would be confined to the frontage within the property boundaries <br />owned by the California Pacific Title Insurance Company. All equipment and /or materials stored within <br />these areas would be properly lighted and barricaded as required by the City of Redwood City. Councilman <br />Granger moved to grant permission for property fronting on Warren Street only: -and subject to the necessary <br />insurance and,hold harmless clause, etc. (MINUTE ORDER #60-177), seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />Max E. Gerfen, Administrator for the Sequoia Hospital District, informed the Council that their Board will <br />take the City's request for the granting of an easement across their property under advisement and study <br />the problems involved• <br />Councilman Fields moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried.
