The majority of the lots in this area have 501 r/w for streets which creates the problem <br />because of the slope of the street where it meets the driveways. Mr. Wilkinson recommended that the <br />City start with the 341 street and work from the outside in to fit the areas and problems involved. <br />Councilman Royer was of the opinion that the Council stick to the standards set in the Glenwood Areas <br />341 street and no sidewalk. This was followed by discussion on the economical feasibility of a 341 <br />street. <br />A 201 street minimum would not allow parking on one side of the street. Councilman Roger asked Dick <br />Wilkinson to see if the Planning Commission would go for the establishing of a policy of 341 street# <br />eliminating sidewalks and electroUers if the people did not want them. If they won't go for a 341 <br />street would they go for a 30' street* <br />Councilman Fields was of the opinion that asp► future annexation which is contigious to a standard <br />Redwood City stteet, and if it is feasible., that the territory to be annexed be required to put in the <br />same type of width street. <br />Councilman Rorer moved that this matter be referred to the Planning Commission for their study and <br />recommendation, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />G. A. Ballous 462 Upland Road, stated that his area was interested in annexing to the City but all <br />they wanted was sewers. They have submitted their petition for annexation. This was followed by <br />discussion. <br />Councilman Fields moved that the meeting be adjourned to September 12th# seconded by Councilman Herkner and <br />carried. Jain, Assistant Planning Director Leonard Knittels Assistant <br />Building Inspector Be C. Gyselbrecht., Police Chief William Faulstich., Fire Chief J. L. Lodi# Water <br />Superintendent H. L. Minter and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Rifbjerg. <br />Counr human Rosselli moved approval of the minutes of August 29th as mailed# seconded by Councilmen Fields <br />and carried. <br />Mayor Weymouth presented the "Certificate of Appointment" to Harold Hjertberg# New Planning Commissioner. <br />
