Appeal by the Division of Highways from the granting by the Planning Commission of a Use Permit to the U. S. Royal Tire Center to operate a retail sales and service for tires and brake & wheel alignment on Lots 2 and 3 and portions of an abondoned alley and Lot ll, Commercial Tract, located in C -1-F and C--1-H-F Po-* Districts at 2102 El Camino Real (between Spruce and Manzanita Streets). Mr. John Evans, representing Mr. Rasso the property owner, toox the position that there was no valid appeal on file from the State. Councilman Royer moved to refer the matter,to the City Attorney for an opinion as to whether or not there was a valid appeal and report back to the Council next week, (MINUTE ORDER #60-22U), seconded by Councilman Rosselli. Paul Tessendorf addressed the council regarding "traffic". He spoke of the problem of card stopping over the pedestrian lane at E1 Camino Real and Whipple. Also the problem of cars parking in the large tri- angle between El Camino Real and Claremont Avenue. Councilman Fields moved to refer the matter to the Traffic Bureau and if they need any further information they can contact Mr. Tessendorf (MINUTE ORDER #60-222)9 seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried.'
