MIN <br />Councilman Stehle moved introduction of an ordinance of the City of Redwood City approving the annexation <br />to the City of Redwood City of certain uninhabited territory designated as "Wickett Annexation" and herein <br />described, and herein annexing said territory to said City of Redwood City, seconded by Councilman Fields <br />and carried. <br />Councilman Fields moved adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 600.120 ADDING SECTIONS 15.2 AND 1.5.3 TO ORDINAIWE NO. 600, <br />THE REDWOOD CITY ZONING ORDINANCE, TO REQUIRE THAT GARAGES, GARAGE SPACES AND PARKING SPACESHAVE ACCESS TO <br />IMPROVED PUBLIC RIGHTS CF WAY, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried unanimously on roll call, Council - mud <br />man Rosselli being noted absent. The affidavit of publicatiion was ordered filed. <br />Appointment to the Personnel Board was taken off the agenda. <br />City Attorney report on validity of appeal by the Division of Highways from the granting by the Planning Commission <br />of a Use Permit to the U. S. Royal Tire Center to operate a retail sales and service for tires and brake & <br />wheel ati.gnment on Lots 1 and j and portions of an abandoned alley and Lot 71, Commercial Tract, located in <br />C -1-F and C-lH-F Districts at 1102 El Camino Real (between Spruce and Manzanita Streets). The City Attorney <br />reported that he had been informed by the City Manager that the appeal has been withdrawn. Councilman Royer <br />moved that Item 5 be stricken from the agenda, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />APPLICATION FOR PERMIT TO CONDUCT PUBLIC LAUNDRY by Mahl Associates, Ince, 1838 E1 Camino Real, Burlingame, who <br />will operate a 30 machine, coin operated laundry in a building being constructed in the Roosevelt Shopping <br />Center for this operation on property of the Land Development & Investment Company. The site has been posted <br />as required by Ordinance No. 125 and premises inspected by Fire Marshal and Public Health Engineer. The <br />Planning Commission approved the use permit subject to condition of hours. Councilman Royer moved to grant <br />the permit subject to closing at 12 midnight and full compliance with all code requirementsp (MINUTE ORDER <br />#60-225), seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. <br />Claim for alleged damage to driveway caused by Fire Truck (Mrs. Lenor Eichelberger, 3412 Hoover Street). Council- <br />man Fiejds moved that the claim be denied and referred to the insurance carrier (MINUTE ORDER #60-226), see- <br />onded by Councilman Stehle and carried. <br />J'eport on status of Marina Development. Planning Director Wilkinson reported on the current status of the Marina. <br />The City received the $30u,UuO and also the easement from the PG&E Company. Construction bids will be opened <br />Wednesday, November 9th. <br />E. H. BEAN REQUESTS PERMISSION TO MOVE OFFICE BUILDINGS FROM 1801 Spring Street and Main and Bradford Streets to <br />East Bayshore Frontage Road and Bair Island. The Planning Commission unanimously approved the request. Coun- <br />cilman Granger moved to grant the permit (MINUTE ORDER #60-127), seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />Division of Highways requests cancellation of tAxes as required under Section 45y66 of the Revenue and Taxation <br />Code on Lot 11, Block 30, Map of Eastern Addition (Mary, M. Gallagher, Spruce & Heller Streets), for State <br />Highway purposes in the vicinity of Five Points. Councilman Fields moved to cancel the taxes as requested <br />subject to approval of the City Attorney (MINUTE ODER #60-228), seconded by Councilman Herkner andcarried. .•� <br />Claim for alleged damage, James Je Morrison, 19u3 Roosevelt Avenue. Councilman Royer moved to deny the claim and %00 <br />refer"it to the insurance carrier (MINUTE ORDER #6U-229), seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. <br />Claim for alleged injuries, Marion Shaw, 1322 Madison Avenue. Councilman Fields mored to depy the claim and re- <br />fer it to the insurance carrier (MINUTE ORDER #60-230), seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. <br />Councilman Granger moved adoption ofRESOLUTION N0. 3242 APPROVING CONTRACT DOCUMENTS AND SPECIFICATIONS FOR RE- <br />SURFACING OF TENNIS COURTS AT COMMUNITY PARK AND MEZES PARK, REDWOOD CITY, CALIFORNIA, AND AUTHORIZING CALL "WOO <br />FOR. BIDS THEREFOR, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll call, Councilman Rosselli <br />being noted absent. <br />Planning Commission recommends denial of the request to rezone Lots 18, 19, 20 and 21, Block 4, Kensington Square, <br />by property owners George Ye and Hatsurye Tsurumoto, Clarence W. and Mildred I. Temple, Edward P. and Ilene <br />
