COMMUNICATIONS: Board of Directors of the Peninsula Chap.ter of the Engineering and Grading Contractors Association of California Stated their objections to the bid awarding procedure on Parking Lot VI** John D. Phillipsp representing the Association of Bay Area Governments answered the City Manager's let- ter of inquiry regarding the cost of joining the Association. The City Manager was axsed to place this matter on the agenda for next week. Councilman Granger raised the question as to whether or not the alternate lights on Broadway were being turned oft' too soon each night. The City Engineer stated that he would investigate the matter. All the lights were to stay on until midnight. Claims 34529 through 34699, totaling $108,542*91, were ordered paid pn motion of Councilman Royer., seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. Continuation of public hearing on rseolution of intention by the Planning Commission to amend Ordinance No. 60U to prohibit dwellings and residential uses in districts other than "R" Districts. The public hear- ing was declared open.
