CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON LESLIE ANNEXATION 2-B. Councilman Fields moved that the public hearing be con- <br />tinued to February 15th (MINUTE ORDER #60-40)., seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on <br />roll call. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THEAPPEAL OF VIRGIL MASARIE FROM THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS DENIAL OF A TENTATIVE MAP SUBDIVIDING <br />A PORTION OF LOT 21, WOOSTER.9 WHITTON AND MONTGOMERY SUBDIVISION WITH FRONTAGE ON ROOSEVELT AVENUES 277.71 <br />in width by 1501 in depth. The public hearing was declared open. A petition with thirteen signatures of <br />the people in the area stated that they had no objections to the subdivision* Joseph Phelon a nd Paul <br />Tessendorf stated their objections to the subdivision. After further discussion., Councilman Rosselli moved <br />that the public hearing be c.losed., seconded by Councilman r"ields and carried. <br />.,44 <br />Councilman Rosselli moved to uphold the Planning Commission's decision and deny the appeal (MINUTE ORDER <br />m .r <br />#60-41)s seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll calls Mayor Royer being noted absent. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of ORDINANCE N0. 600.111 AMENDING SECTIONS 7.1(c), 8.1(c),, 8.4(e), 9.1(c) AND <br />20.1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 600, BEING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY., AS ADOPTED MARCH 22.9 <br />1948, AND AS AMENDED TO DATE, TO PROVIDE FOR THE MINIMUM AREA OAA BUILDING SITE INCERTAIN RESIDENTIAL DIST- <br />RICTSs seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried unanimously on roll calls Mayor Royer being noted absent. <br />The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. <br />PETITION REQUESTING THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO ALLEVIATE THE DANGEROUS CONDITION THAT EXISTS ON HARCROSS ROAD <br />IN ORDER THAT STUDENTS ATTENDING BENJAMIN FRANKLIN SCHOOL MAY USE THIS ROAD WITH SAFETY. Mayor Royer appeared <br />at 8:43 p. m. Councilman Spillers moved to authorize the City Managerto contact the Town of Woodside to see <br />if they will go 50-50 and authorized the City Manager to proceed with the work., seconded by Councilman Granger. <br />Mrs. Estesy a property owner on Harcross Roads stated that the people in the area do not favor the sidewalks. <br />The street is too narrow now and she recommended the suggestion of Councilman Rosselli that they possibly 11"4 <br />barricade the intersection of Granger Way and Harcross Road. This was followed by discussion on possible -..i <br />contribution by the School or P. T. A. Mayor Royer amended the motion that the City Manager be authorized <br />to contact the School or the PTA and the Town of Woodside to see if they will participate with the City of <br />Redwood City for 1/3 eacri for the cost of the sidewa'lkj, seconded by Councilman Granger. This was followed <br />by further discussion. Councilman Fields amended the amendment and moved that they authorize the City <br />Manager to proceed with putting in of the sidewalk and obtain funds wherever possible (MINUTE ORDER 60-42)s <br />seconded by Councilman Granger. Councilman Spillers withdrew his motion. The amended amendment carried on <br />roll call with Councilmen Fields, Grangers Spillers and Mayor Royer voting yess Councilmen Rosselli and <br />Weymouth and Mayor pro -tem Herkner voting no. <br />Councilman Fields moved that the installation of the sidewalk is a peculiar benefit for the safety of the <br />children of the City of Redwood City (MINUTE ORDER #60-43)s seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried on <br />roll call, Councilmen Fields$ Grangers Spillers Mayor Royer and Mayor protein Herkner voting yes and Counc- <br />ilmen Rosselli and Weymouth voting no. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 2977 DIRECTING CITY ENGINEER TO TRANSMIT DETERMINATIONS OF <br />PREVAILING WAGES TO THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA., DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS., seconded by Councilman <br />Herkner and carried unanimously on roll call* <br />Acceptance of Farm Hill No. 4 was held over one week. <br />ACCEPTANCE OF TWO TRUCKS, STREET DEPARTMENT.
