0 <br />r1l <br />0 <br />-4 <br />"Re have reviewed your letter to this office dated November 2y, 1960 which delineates the changes <br />to the plans and specifications of the Redwood City Municipal Marina. We have estimated that the <br />time required to make these changes and have revised plans, specifications -and contract documents <br />ready for rebidding would amount to approximately $1,500.00, based on our minimum charge rates. <br />This estimate does not include printing costs or reworking the Feasibility Report in the event., <br />the City chooses to process their - application for the additional $30,000 recently approved by the <br />Small Craft Harbor Commission. <br />It appears from the summary of costs prepared by Dick Wilkinson on page 3 of his letter to Mr. <br />Richards, Chief of the Division of Small Craft Harbors, that the $30,000 additional loan may not <br />be necessary. <br />It is also our wish that this project be under construction as soars as possible.„ <br />Councilman Royer moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3260 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION CF SUPPLE- <br />MENTARY AGREEMENT FOR CONSULTING SERVICES IN CONNECTION WITH DEVELOPMENT OF REDWOOD CITY MUNICIPAL <br />MARINA, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3261 CONCERNING CONTRIBUTION BY CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />TO STATE OF CALIFORNIA FOR IMPROVEMENT AT FIVE POINTS INTE RSECTION BY CONSTRUCTION OF FULL INTERCHANGE <br />STRUCTURE, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />REQUEST OF VIRGIL MASARIE AND SON FOR VARIANCE FROM STRICT APPLICATION OF SIDEWALK ORDINANCE FCR TWO DRIVE- <br />WAY APPROACHES AT 230 ROOSEVELT AVENUE. The City Manager had no objections to the granting of this <br />variance. Councilman Royer moved to grant the variance subject to obtaining a minimum of 44 feet <br />between the driveways (MINUTE ORDER #60-260), seconded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br />COMMUNICATIONSs <br />Pearce, McAllister, & Thorsell regarding construction time on Parking Lot No. VI, was outlined by <br />The City Manager. <br />State of California, Department of Finance, requested that the City incur no maintenance costs on <br />Union Cemetery from date of receipt of this letter until they have been able to explore all oft he <br />possibilities of an idea they now have under considerAtionin conjunction with the Union Cemetery. <br />Councilman Granger moved to refer this letter for investigation and clarification to our represent- <br />atives in Sacramento, Assemblyman Britschgi and Senator Dolwi.g (MINUTE ORDER #60-261), seconded by <br />Councilman Royer and carried. <br />Ampex Professional Products Company expressed their appreciation to the Fire and Police Departments <br />for their splendid cooperation and prompt service in response to a bomb hoax warning received over <br />the telephone on November 30th. <br />North Fair Oaks Property Owners' Association expressed their thanks to the Council for their contri- <br />buting <br />ontributing part in the Middlefield Road Now -Look Activities. <br />Annie Maggs, 514 Oak Park Ray, -expressed her appreciation for the action taken last week with regard <br />to the Emerald Lake water problem. <br />Division of Small Craft Harbors submitted a letter dtating that tabulations show it is not necessary <br />for the City to borrow the additional $30,000. <br />The City Manager called the Council's attention to the fact that the terms of the following members <br />of the Veteran's Memorial Commission will expire December 31, 1960s Ferris Miles, Arthur Inman and <br />Clyde Crippen. The City Manager was asked to contact the members to see if they woAld consider <br />serving another term. <br />Letter from Foster & Kleiser regarding the public service billboard was read. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3262 CONGRATULATING SEQUOIA UNION HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL <br />TEAM AND COACH JOSEPH MARVNN, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Claims 34861 through 34990, totaling $171,544.17, were ordered paid on motion of Councilman Wields, seconded <br />by Councilman Stehle and carried. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved that the meeting be adjourned, seconded b:;* Councilman Rosner and carried.
