Councilman Fields moved to cancel the taxes as requested subject <br />to approval of the City Attorney (MINUTE ORDER #60-257)s seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br />Request of City Auditor to cancel County Taxes on certain parcels acquired by City for street purposes (Jones <br />Court, Regent Street and Stulsaft Park). Councilman Granger moved adoption of -RESOLUTION N0. 3259 REQUEST- <br />ING REMOVAL OF REAL PROPERTY ACQUIRED BY CITY OF REDWOOD CITY FROU COUNTY ASSESSMENT ROLLSAND CANCELLATION <br />OF OUTSTANDING TAXES THEREON, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on+roll call. <br />PETITION REQUESTING STANDARD ALLEY IMPROVEMENTS INCLUDING STORM DRAINAGE IN THE ALLEY IN BLOCK 20 FRIENDLY ACRES <br />SUBDIVISION N0. 2, between Marsh Road and Annette Avenue. This petition represents the owners of 1151 lwi <br />feet of alley frontage out of a total of 1794 feet, or about 64% of the total. 100% of the owners ort the <br />Bayshore Frontage Road signed the petition, but only 28% or owners of 5 lots out of a total of 18 lots front- <br />ing on Hoover Street signed the petition. <br />There was discussion on charging the assessments in ppoportion to the benefits received. Councilman Royer <br />moved to authorize the City Engineer to prepare plans and specifications, and the City Auditor to advance <br />preliminary engineering costs, to be reimbursed from the assessment district (MINUTE ORDER #60-258), seconded <br />by Councilman Rosselli and carried. <br />Request of Planning Department to hire draftsman and evonomist-planner temporarily for no longer than six months <br />in order that the zoning map and general plan can be completed by the end of June. This was followed by <br />discussion as to whether or not the general plan can be completed and put into use by the end of June. The <br />Planning Director, was of the opinion that this could be done, and his present staff would be able in the <br />future to keep the plan up to date without the hiring of additional help. Some of the Council were of the ...Y <br />opinion that there was no need of hiring additional outside help but that the work could be done by use of <br />help from the Engineering Department. Mr. Wilkinson also stated that -the general plan was for the entire <br />area of Redwood City and not just the bay front. .Councilman Stehle moved to approve the request (MINUTE ORDER <br />#6U -259)s seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call vote with Cogncilmen Fields, Rosselli, <br />Stehle and Mayor Weymouth voting yes, and Councilmen Herkners Granger,.and Royer voting no. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved introduction of an ordinance appropriating the sum of $6,840 from Unbudgeted, Unappropriated <br />Balance of the General Fund to Planning Department Salaries aodount and amending Ordinance No. 824, the Salary <br />Ordinance, to provide for a classification of Associate Planner and establishing the salary range therefor, <br />seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried on roll call with Councilmen Fields, Granger, Rosselli, Stehle and <br />Mayor Weymouth voting yes, and Councilmen Herkner and Royer voting no. <br />Resolution of intention by the Planning Commission,to rezone Edgecliff Annexation form "U" to "R-1" District. <br />Councilman Royer moved to set the matter for public hearing on December 19th, seconded by Councilman Herkner <br />and carried. <br />Resolution of intention by the Planning Commission to rezone from R-2 to R-1 District Lots 1 through 11, Block 1, <br />Lots 1, 2 and 30 Block 2, Woodside Terrace <br />No. 6; Lots 1 through 69 Block 1, Lots <br />1 through 10, Block 2, <br />Woodside Terrace No. 7; Lots 1 and 2, Block <br />1, Lots i, 2 and 3s Block 1, Lots 1, 2 <br />and 3 of Block 39 Woodside <br />Terrace No. 8, located on MacDonald Avenue, <br />Bonnie Court, Palm Avenue and Goodwin <br />Avenue.
