OF ANTICIPATED SALES AND USE TAX REVENUES (80% - 20%), seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried un- animously on roll call. Councilman Granger moved introduction of an ordinance amending Section 190 of„ -,and adding Sections 190.1, 190.21 190.3, 190.4 and 190.5 to, Ordinance No. 7589 The Redwood City Traffic Ordinance, to provide for one -stay movement of traffic on Birch Street from Broadway to Hopkins Avenues seconded by Council- man Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call. Councilman Herkner suggested that a sign be installed on the north side of Hopkins and Birch Street designating it as two-way traffic. Resolution of Intention by the Planning Commission to rezone Marsh Road Annexation from "U" to "R-1" District. I', Councilman Herkner moved to set the matter for public hearing on January 9th, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried. Recommendation of the Personnel Board that permission be granted the City Manager to hire an accountant at the second step of the Salary Range, $581 per monthe Councilman Rosselli moved to authorize the City Manager to hire at the second step (MINUTE ORDER #60-268)9 seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried. The Council stressed the point that the nen A ccountant would remain in the second step for one year before he would receive his next step increase. Resolution determining not to extend Norman Street to Palm Avenue, Chester W. Lebsack, representing Mr. Polo .and Mrs. Hofheinz in their effort to have the property returned to them which they deeded without cost to the City for the purpose of extending Norman Street from its present terminus to PalmAvenue, has requested the Council to adopt this resolution. The Planning Commission adopted a resolution on May 10, 1960, stating that good planning no longer requires the extension of Norman Street. The City staff has approved the resolution. Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3272 DETERMIN- ING NOT TO EXTEND NORMAN STREET TO PALM AVENUE, seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll call* Request of Haas and Haynie for permission to use public street for construction purposes. Haas and Haynie wish to use portions of Winslow and Marshall Streets adjacent to the building they are constructing for California Pacific Title Insurance Company on which to pour concrete forms. Councilman Fields moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3273 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH HAAS AND HAYNIE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY CONCERNING THE UTILIZATION OF WARREN, WINSLCff AND MARSHALL STREETS, seconded - by Oounci]man Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call. bftw COMMUNICATIONS J. Glasgow and Lucille 0. Glasgow of 1515 James Avenue and Myra Le Gourli.e, 1441 James Avenue, OW complained about the type of structure Antonelli Bros* were putting up on the lot adjacent to their property and expressed their concern about the drainage problem. Councilman Granger moved that the letters be made a part of the record and referred to the Building Department for investigation (MINUTE ORDER #60-269)3, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried.
