416 <br />Minutes of the Regular Adjourned Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />March 2, 1960s 4:00 P. M. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were notedpresentx Councilmen Ron We Fields, Floyd Do Zranger, Sidney D. Herkner, <br />John S. Rosselli, Robert V. Spillers, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. <br />Also present were City Manager James E. Neal, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, City Engineer Glenn M. <br />Jain and Police Chief William Faulstich. <br />PROPOSED ANNEXATION EDGEWOOD ANNEXATION NO. 1-A. New map of the area was studied which was identical with the <br />map of Edgewood Annexation No. 1-B except that the corridor has been corrected to take care of certain pro- <br />blems. <br />Mayor Royer ordered the following affidavits filed: <br />1. Affidavit of City Clerk concerning adjourned meeting. <br />2. San. Mateo Botmdary Commission Resolution No. 524 passed January 7, 1960. <br />3. Affidavit of contiguity executed by Arthur Eskelin. <br />4. Affidavit of City Clerk indicating number of registered voters within the district. <br />Mr. Dieter Rall, 323 Summit Drive, and Mrs. June Kazazean of 521 Rocky Way were present seeking certain <br />information regarding the proposed annexation. No protest was filed by these citizens. <br />RESOLUTION N0. 2996 GIVING NOTICE OF, AND DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO, INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION PROCEEDINGS <br />TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY, DESCRIBING SAID TERRITORY AND DESIGNATING IT BY THE <br />NAME OF "EDGENOCD ANNEXATION NO. 1-A;" GIVING ITS REASONS FOR DESIRING SAID ANNEXATION; MAKING CERTAIN FIND- <br />INGS RESPECTING SAID PROCEEDINGS; AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE TIAZE AND PLACE SAID COUNCIL WILL HEAR PROTESTS <br />TO SAID ANNEXATION (establishing time of public hearing for April 18, 1960) was offered by Councilman Rosselli <br />who moved its adoption, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried an roll call. <br />Councilman Fields moved adjournment, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. Wilbur Westerdahl, Peninsula Covenant Church. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Ron W. Fields, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, <br />John S. Rosselli, Robert V. 5 pillers, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. R oyer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also <br />present were City Manager J. E. Neal, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, City Engineer Glenn M. Jain, Police <br />Chief William Faulstich, Traffic Engineer Arthur U. Eskelin, Assessor Auditor John J. Brol)hy, Assistant Plan- <br />ning Director Leonard Knittel, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Rifbjerg. <br />Councilman Herkner asked that the minutes of February 25th be corrected with regard to Resolution No. 2993 and <br />and alternate 2. The minutes should read as follows: "Alternate 2, which was a resolution of intention <br />only, was the choice of the majority of the Council."
