41-24 <br />between Bayshore Frebway and Bayshore Highway be rezoned to IP -20 and all the property south of the creek <br />between Bayshore Freeway and Bayshore Highway be rezoned to IR -40. The public hearing was declared open and <br />the affidavits of notice ordered filed. C. B. Currie, representing Mr. Blomquist, Henry Beeger and the Lange <br />estate, objected to their property being included in the 10,000 sq* fte and he referred to the set -back re- <br />quired on the old Bayshore Highway. <br />His clients had all deeded property <br />to the State when <br />they thought the <br />Old Bayshore was going to be widened. <br />They now ask for consideration to <br />a lesser set -back <br />or some consider- <br />ation as to the use of the unused portion of the right -of -+way. After considerable discussion, Councilman <br />Herkner moved that the public hearing be continued for two weeks, March 28th, the Planning Commission to <br />attempt to work out the problem with the people (MINUTE ORDER #60-74), seconded by Copneilman Rosselli and <br />carried. <br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON LESLIE ANNEXATION 2-B. Councilman Spillers moved that the public hearing be <br />continued to March 21st (MINUTE ORDER #60-75)' seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved adoption of ORDINANCE NM 962 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE <br />ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "BRESSO ANNEXATION," AND <br />HEREIN DESCRIBED, AND HEREIN ANNEXING SAID TERRITORY TO SAID CITY OF REMOOD CITY, seconded by Councilman <br />Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call. The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of ORDINANCE N0. 963 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY APPROVING THE <br />ANNEXATION TO THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED "SEQUOIA TERRACE" and <br />HEREIN DESCRIBED, AND HEREIN ANNEXING SAID TERRITORY TO SAID CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, seconded by Councilman <br />Herkner and carried unanimously on roll call. The affidavit of publication was ordered filed. <br />Councilman Spillers moved to authorize the City Clerk to accept and record grant deed from Jack and Jackie <br />Werner for a perpetual easement and right of way for public street purposes and public utility purposes, <br />portion of Lot 3, Block 30, Oak Knoll Manor (MINUTE ORDER #60-76), seconded by Councilman Fields and carried. <br />This is for future widening of Canyon Road, <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3011 AUTHORIZING IMPROVEMENT OF A PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY, AP- <br />PROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS THEREFOR, AND AUTHRRIZING EXECUTION CF AN AGREEMENT THEREFOR, seconded by <br />CouneilmanWeymouth and carried unanimously. on roll call. <br />REQUEST OF AIBERT ENGEL FOR EITHER ABANDONMENT OF OR GRANTING OF REVOCABLE PERMIT for use of 20+ inimproved alley <br />north of Bayshore Freeway between 2nd Avenue and Haven Avenue. The NAgineering Department recommends that <br />alley not be abandoned, but that a Revocable Permit be granted to Mr. Engel, nor -transferrable and for the <br />surface access purposes only with no private buildings or structures to be erected thereon, with all other <br />normal limitations placed on such revocable permits, details to be worked out with City Attorney. Council- <br />man Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3012 AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE CF REVOCABLE PERMIT TO MR. ALBERT <br />ENGEL,seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll tail. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved approval of the payment to S & Q Construction Company on final payment of Sewage Treat- <br />ment Plant enlargement, seconded by Councilman Spillers. A bond in the amount of $13,000 was posted to cover <br />the lien filed by Graybar Electric Company, Inc. and $50.00 was withheld from the final payment on recommend- <br />ation of the City Engineer. T he motion carried. <br />CITY MANAGER REPORT ON ESTIMATE OF COST OF FILLING UP THE HOLES IN THE SP PARKING LOP. The City Manager reported <br />that the costof filling up the holes would be as: follows: <br />Materials $2lt2.05 <br />Labor 234.40 <br />Equipment Rental 436.00 $912.15 <br />The City is in receipt of a letter from the Southern Pacific Company stating that in view of the public using <br />lot southeast of station for parking, they had no objections to the City filling in the holes. <br />The City Attorney <br />E <br />t <br />0 <br />1 <br />
