<br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting
<br />Redwood City Council
<br />March 14, 1960, 8:00 A. M.
<br />invocation was led by ReverW4 Wilbur Westerdahl, Peninsula Covenant Church.
<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Ron W. Fields, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner,
<br />John S. Rosselli, Robert V. Spillers, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge.
<br />Also present were City Manager J. E. Neal, City Attorney Robert J. Costellb, City Engineer Glenn M.
<br />Jain, Assistant Planning Director Leonard Knittel, Traffic Engineer Arthur U. Eskelin, Police Chief
<br />William Faulstich, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, Planning Director Dick Wilkinsons Police Captain
<br />Theodore Moudakas, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Water Superintendent H. L. Winter, Fire Clef J. L.
<br />'PON Lodi,�City Manager's Secretary Helen Moore and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Rifbjerg.

<br />Councilman Spillers moved approval of the minutes of March 7th as mailed, seconded by Councilman Fields and
<br />carried.
<br />PUBLIC HEARING ON EAGLE HILL TERRACE IMPRCNIMNTS (Avenue del Ora to Terminus.). The public hearing was de'
<br />dared open and the affidavits of posting, mailing and publication of notice of filing assessment and
<br />time of hearing were ordered filed. A letter of protest from Harold M. and Eleanore C. Unger, 9 Eagle
<br />Hill Terrace, was read and noted. Mr. Unger addressed the Council and stated that the City officials
<br />and the contractorts representative had been out t6 visit him and the contractors had agreed to fix
<br />and adjust the first three items he protested within the next few days. He said he was tilling to take
<br />their word that the work would be done. There being no further protests, Councilman Weymouth moved
<br />that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried.
<br />Councilman Weymouth moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3010 CONFIRMING ASSESSMENTS AND ASSESSMENT DIAGRAM
<br />EAGLE HILL TERRACE (AVENUE DEL. ORA TO TERMINUS), seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously
<br />on roll call.
<br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE PETITION CF LOUIS A. BEHRENS to amend Section 4*1 of the Redwood City Zoning Ordinance
<br />No. 600 to rezone from R-4 District to a C-1 District property know as Lots 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, l4,
<br />15, 16, 17, 18, and 19, Block 2, as shown on "Map of Robinson Subdivision," said property located at
<br />12.0 Jefferson Avenue. The affidavits of notice were ordered filed. The Planning Commission recommends
<br />as follows:
<br />1. A portion of the property only be rezoned to C-1 District and the off-street combining "H" District
<br />be added. The portion to include Lots 8, 9, 102 11, 160 17, 18 and 19 of Block 2, Map of Robinson Sub-
<br />division, be rezoned from an.R--4, Multiple Family Residential District, to C -1-H, Limited Commerical
<br />District off-street Parking Combining District. These lots are adjacent to present Commertial District
<br />(C -1-F).
<br />2. Lots 12, 13, 14 and 15, of Block 2, Map of Robinson Subdivision, be not rezoned from an R -!t, Multiple
<br />r" Family Residential District. These lots are along Adams Street and front Harrison Avenue and Jefferson
<br />Avenue and would serve as a buffer on existing residential uses.
<br />There were no protests, written or oral. C. Be Currie, representing the applicant, was available,for-
<br />questioning. Councilman Spillers moved that the public hearing be closed,seconded by Councilman Granger
<br />�.. and carried.
<br />Councilman Spillers moved introduction of an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 600, the Zoning Ordinance,
<br />to rezone Lots 8, 9, 10, 110 16, 17, 18 and 19, Block 2, Robinson Subdivision, from R-4 District to
<br />C -1-H District (MINUTE ORDER #60-73), seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried.
<br />PUBLIC HEARING ON THE RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO AMEND SECTION 4.4 CF ORDINANCE NO. 600 TO REZONE ALL PROP.
<br />ERTY BETWEEN AND INCLUDING THE WHIPPLE AND HARBaR BLVD. INTERCHANGES BOUNDED BETWEEN BAYSHORE FREEWAY
<br />AND OLD BAYSHQZE HIGHWAY. The Planning Commission recommends that all property North of Redwood Creek
