431 <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 966 REPEALING SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO. 308 BEING AN <br />ORDINANCE CONSOLIDATING THE DUTEIS OF AND FIXING THE COMPENSATION FOR COMBINED POSITION OF CITY CLERK <br />AND CITY TREASURER, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried unanimously on roll call. The affidavit <br />of publication was ordered filed. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3023 APPOINTING HELEN C. MOORE TO THE CONSOLIDATED <br />OFFICES OF CITY CLERK AND CITY TREASURER, seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried unanimously on <br />Yrrrr <br />roll call. <br />DISCUSSION OF REZONING AND PLANNING STUDY OF FIVE POINTS. Harry Mitchell, 135 Hemlock Street, raised the <br />questions, one being what had happened to the survey. Mrs. Morales, 228 Madrone Street, raised the <br />question as to the legality of the building permit,date of recordation of new property owner, date of <br />60 building permit, etc. Building Inspector Kreiss explained why the bu ilding permit had been issued. <br />This was followed by considerable discussion as to what steps the Council could take to stop any per- <br />mits being issued in this area until after the survey is made. The City Attorney reported that they <br />could rezone the area R 1, R-2 or U District. <br />Councilman Granger moved thatthe City Attorney prepare a resolution of intention to rezone the prop- <br />erty in question. After discussion, Councilman Granger changed his motion and -moved adoption of RESOL <br />UTION NO. 3024 BEING A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY TO INSTITUTE <br />PROCEEDINGS TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 6003 THE ZONING ORDINANCE, TO REZONE CERTAIN PROFE RTY IN THE AREA <br />BOUNDED BY WOODSIDE ROAD, CYPRESS STREET, CENTER STREET AND EL CAMINO REAL, FROM "R-3" DISTRICT TO "R-2" <br />DISTRICT, seconded by Councilman Spillers. On the question, it was explained to the Council that this <br />resolution would not stop the issuance of a building permit for R-3 buildings until an ordinance has <br />been adopted. The resolution of intention sets the matter for public hearing to be held by the Plan- <br />ning Commission. The motion carried unanimously on roll call. <br />George Bronner, 3660 Altamont Way, was present and mpresented Mr. Dickenson and answered questions that <br />had been raised previously in the meeting. <br />Councilman Fields moved that the matter be referred to the City Attorney and City Manager for a check <br />on the validity of the building permit and invalidate it if possible and report back to the Council <br />(MINUTE ORDER #60-94), seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3025 BEING A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO AMEND ORDINANCE <br />NO. 600, BEING THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF REDWOCD CITY, TO LIMIT THE TIME IN WHICH APPLICATIONS <br />FOR VARIANCES, APPLICATIONS FOR USE PERMITS AND PETITIONS FOR AMENDMENTS MAY BE RECONSIDERED, seconded <br />i <br />by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call: Councilmen Fields, Granger, Herkner, Rosselli, Spillers, <br />and Weymouth voting yes and Mayor Royer voting no. <br />Councilman Weymouth moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3026 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT <br />FOR SPECIAL AUDIT OF THE OFFICE OF TREASURER OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND APPROPRIATING THE SUM OF <br />$500 FROM THE UNBUDGETED BALANCE OF THE GENERAL FUND FOR SUCH PURPOSE,, seconded by Councilman Granger <br />and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Petition of AGOSTINO AND EMMA BERTOCCHI to amend Section 4.2 of thte Redwood City Zoni g Ordinance No. 600 <br />to rezone from an R-2 District to an R-3 District property, cormonly known as 322 Boicelli Lane. <br />Councilman Spillers moved that the public hearing be held April 25th (MINUTE CIDER #60-95)., seconded by <br />Councilman Kosselli and carried. <br />REPORT OF GENERAL PLAN COMMITTEE ACTION REGARDING EMERALD LAKE AREA STUDY.
