Councilman Rosselli moved that Mrs. Helen Moore, the newly appointed City Clerk and Treasurer be paid under the present Clerk's salary range, namely $705 to $882 to start at the first step, $705, seconded by Councilman Herkner aid carried. (MINUTE ORDER #60-83) Building permit issued to Tom Cunningham covering 5 unit apartment building on the corner of Hemlock and Madrone 04 Streets was the subject of next discussion. City Manager Neal stated he was ready to meet with the protest- .0wo ants living in the neighborhood to explain the granting of the building permit. The Council again asked that the Planning Department survey the entire neighborhood to the end that rezoning would eliminate fur- thur difficulites. Matter of salary, for Carpenter was discussed and City Attorney wasrequested to study the matter. Meeting adjourned on motion of Councilman Granger, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. Continuation of public hearing on Resolution cf Intention to amend Section 4.4 of Ordinance`No. 600 to rezone all property between and including the Whipple And Harbor Boulevard interchanges bounded between Bayshore Free- way and Old Bayshore Highway; all property North of Redwood Creek to be IP -20 (Industrial Park with lots of 20,000 sq* ft.) and South of the creek to IP -40 (400000 sq. ft.). The public hearing was declared open. There being no protests, written or oral, Councilman Rosselli moved that the public hearing be continued to April lith at the request of Mr. B lomquist, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried (MINUTE ORDER #60- 92). Councilman Herkner moved adoption of ORDINANCE NO. 965 AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 821, BEING THE SALARY PLAN OF THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, TO CHANGE THE SALARY RANGE FOR THE POSITION OF SECRETARY TO THE CITY MANAGER FROM RANGE 32 TO RANGE 29s seconded by Councilman Fields and carried unanimously on roll call.
