S. bodge, City Clerk <br />Minutes of the Regular Meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />April 4, 19609 8:00 P.M. <br />Invocation was led by City Clerk Moore. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen RonW .Fields, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, <br />John Rosselli, Robert V. Spillers, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer., and City Clerk Helen C. Moore. <br />Also noted present were City Manager J. E. Neal,City Attorney Robert J. Costello, City Engineer Glenn <br />M. Jain, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Police Chief William Faulstich, <br />Planning Director Dick Wilkinson, Assistant Planning Director Leonard Knittel, Traffic Engineer Arthur <br />U. Eskelin, Fire Chief J. L. Lodi and Street Maintenance Superintendent Doyle Chester* <br />Councilman Rosselli moved approval of the minutes of March 28th as mailed, seconded by Councilman Spillers <br />and carried. <br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON LESLIE ANNEXATION NO. 2-B. There being no protests, Councilman Granger, <br />wow moved that the public hearing be continued to April 11th, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />Continuation of public hearing on Resolution of Intention to amend Section 4*4 of Or4inance No. 600 to re- <br />zone all property between and including the Whipple and Harbor Boulevard interchanges bounded between <br />Bayshore Freeway and Old Bayshore Highway; all property North of Redwood Creek to be IP -20 (Industrial <br />Park with lots of 20,000 sq* ft.) and South of the creek to IP -40 (40,000 sq. ft.). The public hearing <br />was declared open and the affidavits of notice ordered filed. There were no written communications. <br />Assistant Planning Director Knittel reported on the meeting between Staff and property owners. The <br />Staff requested 25 foot setback, property owners asked for 15 foot setback. After discussion, it was <br />pointed out that the variance procedure could be used, where needed, to obtain 15 foot setback. There <br />being no further protests, Councilman Rosselli moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by <br />Councilman Fields and carried. <br />ON" Councilman Spillers moved that the report of the Planning Commission be approved, with the exception <br />tbr that the entire area be zoned IP -20, and instructed the City Attorney to prepare the necessary ordinance <br />(MINUTE ORDER #60-99), seconded by Councilman Granger and carried on roll call with Councilmen Fields, <br />Granger, Herkner, Spillers, Weymouth and Mayor Royer voting yes and Councilman Rosselli voting no. <br />PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION CP INTENTION TO MAKE CHANGES AND MODIFICATIONS PARKING DISTRICT NO. le The <br />Pam <br />public hearing was declared open and the affidavit of publication was ordered filed. Mr. Joe Aaronson <br />60 <br />of Adapt Corporation asked clarification of the City's plans as concerned Lots 10, 11 and 16, on Main <br />and Bradford.
