<br />Subject under discussion was the proposal to amend Parking Lot VI proceedings, set public hearing, sell property
<br />acquired in the area proposed to be abandoned, the money to be replaced in Parking Lot Fund. After extensive
<br />discussion joined in by Mr. Currie and Mr. Jones, it was decided to bring in the necessary resolution setting
<br />up the date of hearing at the Council meeting of January 25, 1960.
<br />Councilman Weymouth moved that the City Manager have plans brought up to date in accordance with revised map

<br />within thirty days, work to be done by City personnel if possible; City staff to prepare feasibility report,
<br />motion seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried on roll call, Councilmen Granger and Spillers being noted
<br />absent. (MINUTE ORDER #60-11)
<br />Proposed study meeting for Tuesday evening was abandoned and called for Monday evening, January 18, 1960 immedia-
<br />tely following adjournment of the regular council meeting.
<br />Mayor Royer suggested another meeting with the General Plan Advisory Committee to consider further proposal of ..0
<br />plan to return a certain portion of sales tax revenue to the general Fund to reduce the general tax rate.
<br />It was further decided to amend the committee's recommendation which would change the wording "Capital pro-
<br />jects" to "Capital expenditures'.
<br />Councilman Rosselli moved adjournment, seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried. Meeting adjourned, 5:20 p.m.

<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Ron W. Fields, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner,
<br />John Rosselli, Robert V. Spillers, Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H.Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also
<br />present were City Manager J. E. Neal, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, City Engineer Glenn Jain, Assistant
<br />Planning Director Leonard Knittel, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, Police Chief William Faulstich, Plan-
<br />ning Director Dick Wilkinson, Traffic Engineer Arthur Eskelin, Recreation Director Alfred Morton, Water
<br />Superintendent H. L. Winter, Assistant Recreation Director Don Dimitratos and Deputy City Clerk Vivian
<br />Holmquists,
<br />Councilman Rosselli moved approval of the minutes of January 7th and January 11th as mailed, seconded by Council-
<br />man Weymouth and carried.
<br />The Mayor presented the "Pop Warner Certificate of Award" to James Knecht.
<br />Councilman Spillers -moved introduction of an ordinance adding Section 192.20 to amending Secticn 193.1 of Ordinance
<br />No. 7583 being the Redwood City Traffic Ordinance, as adopted February 1, 1954, and as amended to date, to
<br />provide for parking zestrictions on Jefferson Avenue between Franklin Street and El Camino Real (MINUTE
<br />ORDER #60-12), seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried.
<br />Councilman Herkner moved to authorize the City Clerk to accept the grant deed from Walter and Diana Young,
<br />portion of Lots 6 and 7, Block 28, Oak Knoll Manor, for the widening of Canyon Road to conform to the
<br />plan lines (MINUTE ORDER #60-13), seconded by Councilman Fields and carried.
<br />Councilman Fields moved to authorize the City Clerk to accept a grant deed from Carl H. and Mary T.Carlson.,
<br />portion of Lot 6, Block 28, Oak Knoll Manors for the widening of Canyon Road to conform to the plan lines
