0 <br />79 <br />0 <br />DEPARTMENT, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Rosselli moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2960 <br />OF <br />THE CITY <br />COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR MAINTENANCE OF STATE HIGHWAY <br />IN <br />THE CITY <br />OF REDWOOD <br />CITY, seconded by Council- <br />man Fields and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2961 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE PURCHASE OF GASO- <br />LINE FOR THE PERIOD OF FEBRUARY 13 1960 - JANUARY 31, 1961; AND AUTHORIZING THE CALL OF BIDS THEREFOR, <br />seconded by Councilman Granger and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Spillers moved adoption <br />of RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2962 <br />APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR TWO NEW TRUCKS; AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO <br />CALL FOR BIDS <br />THEREFOR, <br />seconded by Councilman Rosselli and carried un- <br />animously on roll call. <br />Claim for alleged damage to rugs caused by blocked sewer, William John Irwin, 1280 Westwood Street. Coun- <br />cilman Fields moved to deny the claim and refer it to the insurance carrier (MINUTE ORDER #60-9), sec- <br />onded by Councilman Spillers and carried. <br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 2963 APPROVING AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, <br />DIVISION OF SMALL <br />CRAFT HARBORS, FOR A LOAN IN THE AMOUNT <br />OF $300,000 FOR DEVELOPMENT <br />OF A MUNICIPAL <br />MARINA, REPAYMENT <br />TO BE MADE SOLELY FROM THE GROSS REVENUE <br />OF THE SMALL CRAFT HARBOR, <br />AND AUTHORIZING <br />EXECUTION OF SAID AGREEMENT, seconded by Councilman Granger and carried unanimously on roll call. <br />Councilman Granger moved to approve the request of C. Be Currie to Purchase the property in back of the <br />Chinese Laundry for the Parking District (MINUTE ORDER #60-10), seconded by Councilman S pillars and <br />carried. <br />The Mayor announced that the San Mateo County Development Association was having a meeting on January 20th <br />at the Villa. <br />Councilman Spillers brought up the matter of,a petition appearing in the Tribune signed by children from <br />Henry Ford and Goodwin Schools protesting improvements in Stulsaft Park. The City Manager was asked <br />to write a letter to the Schools and explain the situation telling the boys that the park will be <br />unharmed. <br />The City Attorney reported on the present standings of the City in its legal suits, Truck Route and Leslie <br />Annexations. <br />Councilman Granger asked about signs being posted in the vicinity of the Hall of Justice forbidding all <br />night parking. It was explained that there were no such signs posted anywhere in Redwood Citgo - the <br />cost would be too great. The City Manager was asked to check into the possibility of posting a few <br />signs now and then each year posting a few more. <br />Councilman Spillers moved to adjourn the meeting to Friday, January 15, 1960 at 1:00 P. me in the Conference <br />Room, second floor, City Hall, for the purpose of discussing Parking Lot VI, seconded by Councilman <br />Herkner and carried. Fields, Sidney D. Herkner, John Rosselli, <br />Ray Weymouth, Mayor William H. Royer and City Clerk R. S. Dodge. Also present were City Manager Neal, <br />City Attorney Costello, City Auditor Brophy, Kenneth Jones of the firm of Kirkbride & Wilson, C. Be <br />Currie, Traffic Engineer Arthur Eskelin and Deputy City Engineer Melvin Moen. <br />
