<br />Minutes of the Regular Adjourned Meeting
<br />Redwood City Council
<br />Wednesday, June 8, 19600 8:00 P.M.
<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Ron W. Fields, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner,
<br />John S. R osselli, William H. Royer, Harold C. Stehle, Mayor Ray A. Weymouth and City Clerk Helen C. Moore<
<br />Also present were Assistant to the City Manager Bart Balmer, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy and City
<br />Manager J. E. Neal (entered meeting at 9:00 p. m.).
<br />LIMITATION ON THE NUMBER OF TERMS TO BE SERVED BY MEMBERS OF BOARDSAN D ODIMSSIONS was discussed. It was
<br />the consensus of opinion that two consecutive terms on the same Board or Commission would be an ap-
<br />propriate length of service for a board or commission member, but that such member could be reappointed
<br />after a lapse of one year, if the Council so desired. It was also the concensus that this limitation
<br />should be effective retroactive to the starting date of the terms presently being served by each com-
<br />mission or board member.
<br />The City Attorney was requested to bring in a Resolution setting forth the above provisions for consider-
<br />ation by the Council at its btudy meeting on Monday, June 13th. The item will be placed on the agenda
<br />of the regular meeting for adoption or rejection.
<br />BUDGET STUDY continued, all changes being noted in the official budget to be offered for adoption June 20th.
<br />Adjournment was moved by Councilman Herkner, seconded by Councilman Stehle, and -carried. Adjournment at

<br />Invocation was led by Reverend Edwin J. Halcrar, Retired, First Christian Church.
<br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Ron W. Fields, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D.
<br />Herkner, John S. Rosselli, William H. Royer, Harold C. Stehle, Mayor Ray A. Weymouth and City Cleft
<br />Helen Moore. Also present were City Manager J. E. Neal, City Attorney Robert J. Costello, City Engineer
<br />Glenn M. Jain, Police Chief William Faulstich, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy, Planning Director Dick
<br />Wilkinson, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Street maintenance Superintendent Doyle Chester, Associate
<br />Engineer William Martin, Jr. and Deputy City Clerk Vivian Rifbjerg.
<br />Councilman Rosselli moved approval of the minutes of June 6th and June 8th as mailed, seconded by Councilman
<br />Royer and carried.
<br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HERRING ON LESLIE ANNEXATION 2-B. Councilman Fields moved to continue the public
<br />hearing to June 20th, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried.
<br />CONTINUATION OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PROPOSED REGENT STREET EXTENSION AND IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT, PER "RESOLUTION
<br />OF INTE14TION NO. 30722" ADOPTED BY THE COUNCIL ON MAY 9, 1960. The public hearing was declared open.
<br />The Clerk read a letter of protest received from Louise and Mose Pellarin (assessment #29). The follow-
<br />ing people withdrew their protests, Stefano & Tillie Traffano, assessment #13; Jose F. & Jeanne L.
<br />Brochier, assessment #33; Jose Perez, assessment #2. This left a total of seven protests out of twenty-
<br />nine parcels assessed. Councilman Royer moved that the public hearing be closed, seconded by Council-
<br />man Rosselli and carried.
<br />Councilman Herkner moved adoption of RESOLUTION NO. 3102 OVERRULING PROTESTS OF RESOLUTION OF INTENTION
<br />NO. 3072 REGENT STREET EXTENSION, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried unanimously on roll call.
<br />Councilman Granger moved adoption of RESOLUTION N0. 3103 ORDER ADOPTING THE ENGINEER'S REPORT, CONFIRM-
<br />ING THE ASSESSMENT AND ORDERING THE WORK REGENT STREET EXTENSION, seconded by Councilman Fields and
<br />carried unanimously on roll call.
