4 7 S <br />Minutes of the Regular Adjourned meeting <br />Redwood City Council <br />June 15, 19603 8:00 P. M. <br />ON ROLL CALL the following were noted present: Councilmen Ron W. Fields, Floyd D. Granger, Sidney D. Herkner, <br />John S. Rosselli, William H. Royer, Harold C. Stehle, Mayor Ray A. Weymouth and City Clerk Helen C. Moore. <br />Also present were City Manager J. E. Neal, Assessor -Auditor John J. Brophy and Assistant to the City Manager <br />Bert Balmer. <br />PERSONNEL BOARD RECOMMENDATIONS regarding reclassification of certain employees and creation of new classifications, <br />with appropriate job specifications and salary ranges, were adopted, as follows: <br />PARK DEPARTMENT: <br />Creation of new classification of Tree Trimmer and adoption of job specification for same in range #26, <br />$371--464. .,..�+ <br />Reclassification of Park Maintenanceman Serafino Petron to Tree Trimmer, effective July 1, 1960. <br />POLICE DEPARTMENT: <br />Establish classification of Police Matron -Secretary and adopt job specification in range #26. Reclassification <br />of Sr. Stenographer Mildred Marcopolus to Police Matron -Secretary with no change in salary. Salary range,#24, <br />$371 -464 - <br />Establish classification of Police Matron -Clerk II, adopt ,job specification in range #22, $332-415. Reclassify <br />Intermediate Stenographer Anne Hattan to Police Matron -Clerk II with no change in salary. <br />Establish classification of Police Matron -Clerk I and adoption of job specification in range #20, $3144-392. <br />Reclassification of Junior Typist -Clerk Joanne Blocker to Police Matron -Clerk I is recommended. <br />VETERANS MEMORIAL -CITY MANAGER: <br />Reclassification of Junior Typist -Clerk Shirley Lambert to Intermediate Typist -Clerk, Range #20, $311-392. ,. <br />LIBRARY: <br />Establish classification of Senior Library -Clerk, adopt job specification in range #24, $351-439- <br />Provision <br />351439.Provision was made in the 1960-61 salary ordinance and departmental budgets to implement the above changes. <br />REQUESTED APPROPRIATIONS FOR CONFERENCES AND CONVENTIONS in 1960-61 budget were discussed. Councilman Granger moved <br />that the sum of $150 be budgeted for each person attending the League Conference, and that an expense account <br />be filed by each such person upon the close of the conference. Councilman Rosselli seconded the motion, <br />which carried. <br />TAX RATE for 1960-61 was figured after reconciling all deletions, corrections and additions. After discussion , <br />the'rate for the Veterans Memorial Building was set at 1 cent; for the Library, 10 cents. Councilman <br />Rosselli moved that the over-all tax rate for the fiscal year 1960-61 should be no greater than $1.22 per <br />$100 of assessed valuation, and in the event additional revenues not anticipated in figuring the above rate <br />should be received, the tax rate should be reduced accordingly (MINUTE ORDER #60-152), seconded by Council- <br />man Herkner and carried. <br />Councilman Fields moved adjournment, seconded by Councilman Stehle and carried.
