Presentation by representative of Pacific (NOTE: Tape recording relating to this item <br /> Telephone Company re San Mateo County is incomplete.) <br /> Telephone Directory <br /> Letter of Mayor Rhodes to Pacific Telephone <br /> Company 11/20/79 <br /> Pacific Telephone Company statement re yellow <br /> pages rearrangement <br /> Ann Brandeburg, Manager, Pacific Telephone <br /> 1""^' Company, Redwood City, referred to the infor- <br /> mation she provided and advised that two repre- <br /> � sentatives of the Company were present to <br /> reply to questions. <br /> Paul Wiltsie, Marketing and Planning Staff, <br /> Pacific Telephone Company, 34�0 Wilshire <br /> Boulevard, Los Angeles, presented reasons which <br /> prompted the Company to change from one to three <br /> directories to cover San Mateo County cities, <br /> noting that results of a shopping survey indi- <br /> cated the rearrangement would be desirable for <br /> customers. Mr. Wiltsie suggested that users <br /> would prefer a smaller directory and said <br /> white pages for the County will remain the same. <br /> In response to questions, he described the <br /> shopping survey and said that the Company's <br /> conclusion was to rearrange the yellowpages in <br /> three books: San Mateo North County; San Mateo <br /> (and San Carlos, Burlingame, Millbrae, Belmont, <br /> etc); and Palo Alto (and Redwood City, Menlo <br /> Park, etc. which will include listings as far <br /> south as part of San Jose. <br /> Reg.Mtg. <br /> 12/3/79 <br />
