81 <br /> MOTION : Title having been read , Councilman Henderson introduced the following reso- <br /> lution as amended and moved , seconded by Councilman Norris , its adoption : <br /> Resolution No . 7102 Adopting a Land Use Element for the General Plan of the <br /> City of Redwood City <br /> Councilman Rhodes asked that his statement that he opposes item No . 2 of. Social <br /> Goals and Principles and therefore opposes the proposed resolution be included in <br /> the Minutes . <br /> The resolution was adopted on the following roll call vote : <br /> Ayes : Councilman Henderson , Leipzig , Norris , Weymouth , and Mayor Keckley <br /> Noes : Councilman Rhodes <br /> Legislative Committee Report 74-2 <br /> Councilman Henderson , Chairman of the Council Legislative Committee , presented <br /> Report 74-2 of January 24 , 1974 , <br /> MOTION : Councilman Weymouth moved , seconded by Councilman Norris , to accept the <br /> Legislative Committee report 74-2 and its recommendations as follows : <br /> Park Land Dedication - oppose AB 1367 <br /> Workmen ' s Compensation - Presumptions - support AB 2119 <br /> Police Officers - Local Control Eliminated - oppose ACA 67 and AB 1800 <br /> Payment for Rezoning - oppose AB 2610 <br /> Federal Public Labor Bill - oppose HR 8677 <br /> RPC Reorganization - that the Legislative Committee review the letter of <br /> January 17 , 1974 from the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors and report <br /> back to Council <br /> and that the appropriate legislators be advised of Council action . <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . (MINUTE ORDER NO , 74- 17 ) <br /> Master Plan for parks - Mezes , Stafford , Spinas and Fleishman Parks <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of. January 24 concerning the proposed <br /> cooperative agreement regarding redesign and upgrading of certain neighborhood <br /> parks attaching the report of Director of Parks and Recreation dated January i4 <br /> noting that negotiations with Singer and Hodges , Landscape Architects , have been <br /> completed , <br /> MOTION : Title having been read , Councilman Henderson introduced the following <br /> resolution and moved , seconded by Councilman Norris , its adoption : <br /> Resolution No . 7103 Approving and Authorizing Execution of Agreement for <br /> Landscape Architectural Services in Connection with the Preparation of Master <br /> Plans for Mezes Park , Stafford Park , Spinas Park and Fleishman Park in the <br /> City of Redwood City <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote . <br /> TOPICS Project : Phase II <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of January 24 attaching the report of the <br /> Director of Public Works concerning the proposed cooperative agreement with the <br /> State of California regarding TOPICS Project : Phase II . <br /> Director of Public Works Pusich replied to questions from Council concerning cer- <br /> tain traffic situations . <br /> MOTION : Title having been read. Councilman Norris introduced the following resolu- <br /> tion and moved , seconded by Councilman Henderson , its adoption : <br /> Resolution No . 7104 Approving and Authorizing Execution of Cooperative Agree - <br /> ment Between the City of Redwood City and the State of California (Business and <br /> Transportation Agency , Department of Transportation) for Construction of Street <br /> Improvements for an Interchange in the Vicinity of Whipple Avenue and Veterans <br /> Boulevard <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote . <br /> 1/28/74 <br /> Reg .
