<br /> MOTION : Councilman Williams moved , seconded by Councilman Weymouth , approval of
<br /> the Minutes of December 10 as distributed .
<br /> Councilmen Henderson , Leipzig and Rhodes abstained , not having been present at
<br /> the December 10 meeting .
<br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote .
<br /> MOTION : Councilman Williams moved , seconded by Councilman Rhodes , approval of the
<br /> Minutes of December 17 as distributed .
<br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote ,
<br /> Public Hearing - Uniform Fire Code , 1973 Edition
<br /> Mayor Keckley declared open at 7 : 35 p . m . the hearing concerning the Uniform Fire
<br /> Code , 1973 Edition .
<br /> In response to questions from Mayor Keckley , City Clerk Hildebrand stated that she
<br /> has on file affidavit of publication of notice of hearing and has received no
<br /> written communications on the subject .
<br /> City Manager Pales called attention to previous consideration of the subject , par -
<br /> ticularly his report of November 30 , 1973 attaching a joint report from the Chief
<br /> Building Official and the Fire Chief recommending adoption of. the 1973 edition of
<br /> the Uniform Fire Code ,
<br /> Mayor Keckley invited anyone present who wished to speak to do so .
<br /> MOTION : Councilman Weymouth moved , seconded by Councilman Rhodes , to close the
<br /> public hearing .
<br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote .
<br /> The hearing was closed at 7 : 37 p . m .
<br /> MOTION : Councilman Weymouth moved , seconded by Councilman Rhodes , the adoption of
<br /> the following ordinance :
<br /> No . 1589
<br /> Ordinance/Repealing Article II of Chapter 12 of the Code of the City of
<br /> Redwood City ; and Adding Article II to Chapter 12 of the Code of the City of
<br /> Redwood City Relating to Fire Prevention ; and Adopting by Reference the
<br /> "Uniform Fire Code , 1973 Edition , " as Published by the International Con-
<br /> ference of Building Officials and the Western Fire Chiefs Association
<br /> The ordinance was adopted unanimously by roll call vote .
<br /> Public Hearing - proposed zoning map amendment (United California Theatres , Inc . )
<br /> Mayor Keckley declared open at 7 : 40 p . m . the hearing concerning the proposed
<br /> zoning map amendment with regard to property owned by United California. Theatres ,
<br /> Inc . in the vicinity of Veterans Boulevard , Walnut Street , Bayshore Freeway and
<br /> Maple Street .
<br /> In response to questions from Mayor Keckley , City Clerk Hildebrand stated that she
<br /> has on file affidavit of publication of notice of hearing and that no written com-
<br /> munications have been received on the subject .
