Written Communications Letter from San Mateo County Fair and Exposition Center requesting Council to authorize an organization to select the Redwood City candidate for the Dream Girl Pageant . MOTION : Councilman Rhodes moved , seconded by Councilman Leipzig , that the Peninsula Celebration Association be designated the organization to select the Redwood City candidate for "Dream Girl . " The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . (MINUTE ORDER NO , 74-21 ) Oral Communications Roy Singley , 1785 Maryland Street , Redwood City , asked about the status of investigation of the nuisance he reported regarding outdoor car repair and associated activity at 1779 Maryland Street , City Manager Fales and City Attorney Schricker advised that surveillance was required and reports from the Zoning Office and from the Police Department would be forthcoming soon . Mr . Schricker also advised that in the event it is determined that no public nuisance exists , there is nothing to prevent Mr . Singley from seeing his own attorney and seeking a solution to a private nuisance . Legislative Committee Report 74-2 re Parks and Recreation Councilman Henderson requested the City Clerk notify the Parks and Recreation Commission of the Council ' s action in opposing AB 1367 regarding Park Land Acquisition .
