Rhodes <br /> � <br /> The Council of the City of Redwood City met on this date <br /> at 7:30 p.m. in a regular meeting with Mayor Weymouth <br /> presiding. <br /> Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilman Barrett. <br /> Invocation was led by the Reverend Gordon McAlister of <br /> the Peninsula Christian Center. <br /> Roll Call <br /> Councilmen gresent : Barrett, Henderson, Leipzig, Norris, <br /> Rhodes, Williams and Mayor Weymouth <br /> Councilmen absent : None <br /> Staff and officials present : City Manager Fales, Assistant <br /> City Manager Smith, Assistant City Attorney Maloney, City <br /> Controller Ference, City Clerk Hildebrand and Director of <br /> Public Works Pusich, Planning Director Schroeter, Parks and <br /> "'�'" Recreation Director Weeks, City Librarian Vollmayer, <br /> Director of Buildings and Transportation Moen, Police Chief <br /> � Bold <br /> �proval of Minutes - August 12, 19?� <br /> MOTION: Councilman Norris moved, seconded by Councilma.n <br /> Rhodes, approval of the Council Minutes of August 12, 197�F <br /> as submitted. <br /> AMENDMENT: Councilman Henderson requested that following <br /> the statement on page 2 concerning the public hearing on <br /> weed abatement that "Mayor We�mouth invited anyone present <br /> who wished to speak to do so, ' another sentence be added <br /> to the effect that there was no response from the audience . <br /> Councilman Henderson requested that whenever there is no <br /> response to the Mayor' s invitation to the audience to <br /> speak at a public hearing, that the lack of response be <br /> noted in the Minutes. Mayor Weymouth ordered that such <br /> a sentence be included in future minutes of public hear- <br /> ings.
