Adjournment MOTION : Councilman Norris moved , seconded by Councilman Rhodes , to adjourn to a Joint Meeting with the Port Commission at 7 : 30 p . m . , Tuesday , February 5 , 1974 at the Port Administration Building , 775 Harbor Boulevard . M I N U T E S Adjourned Regular Meeting City Council of the City of Redwood City Port Administration Building February 5 , 1974 The Council of the City of Redwood City met in joint session with the Redwood City Board of Port Commissioners on this date at 7 : 30 p . m . Roll Call Councilmen present : Henderson , Williams and Mayor Keckley Councilmen absent : Leipzig , Norris , Rhodes ( entered the meeting at 7 : 43 p . m . ) , and Weymouth Commissioners present : Brown , Doupnik , Johnson , Mauk and Webber Officials and staff present : Port Manager Di Pietro , City Manager Pales , City Attorney Schricker , Assistant Port Manager Campbell , Secretary Bean and Deputy City Clerk Reggetts There being no quorum of the Council present , Chairman Brown presided over the meeting . Chairman Brown welcomed the members of the Council and expressed appreciation for their interest in attending the meeting . The forthcoming National League of. Cities Conference in Washington , D . C . , March 3 - 5 , 1974 , was discussed , and a determination made of Commissioners who expect to attend . Chairman Brown urged that as many com- missioners attend the Conference as are able , and Mayor Keckley and Councilman Henderson concurred . Councilman Rhodes entered the meeting at 7 : 43 p . m . During further discussion of plans for the Conference in Washington , Councilman Henderson suggested that the Commissioners carry business cards to identify them with the Port , and Port Manager Di Pietro indicated that an order would be placed immediately . Port Manager Di Pietro described in some detail prospects for development and ex - pansion of Port facilities , suggesting that the Port has great potential as an asset to the City , In response to questions by Council , he reviewed possibilities for acquisition of property for expansion , and the amount of acreage involved . He stated that Leslie Salt was phasing out its operation , and expressed the belief that the Port has the capability of operating the salt pile and any other commodity com- patible with salt .
