MOTION : Title having been read, Councilman Hendexson introduced the following resolution and moved, seconded by Councilman Leipzig, its adoption : � RESOLUTION N0. 7250 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF STEEL BOOK STACKS; AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS TH�REFOR In response to question, City I,ibrarian Vollmayer advised that the Technical Processes Department acquires and processes new library ma.terials and that that operation will move to the 900 Ma.in Street buildin� where a small amount of the total order for shelving will be used. Mr. Vollmayer indicated that most of the shelving is intended for storage purposes. The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote . � Call for bids - � two -passenger tra.nsit vehicles City Manager Fales referred to his report of August 23, 1974 regarding approval of specifications and ca.11ing for bids for the sub�ect vehicles. In response to question, Director of Buildings and Transportation Moen advised that delivery date on the two vehicles cannot be determined until bids are received . In response to question, Mr. Fales stated that it would be possible to test a bus route to Canada College, but that additional equipment would be required to establish such a route on a regular basis . Mr. Fales observed that the $60,000 included in the City ' s 1974-75 applica- tion to the Metropolitan Transporta.tion Commission for the purpose of purchasing two additional buses indicated the buses are to be used in the Middlefield Road area.
