� 25 <br /> Call for bids - <br /> � stee s e v ng for warehouse storage <br /> City Manager Fa.les referred to his report of August 23, <br /> � 1974 rega,rding approval of the specification and call- <br /> ing for bids for steel library shelving for warehouse <br /> y,�,, storage and a ttachin report from the City Librarian � <br /> da ted Augus t 15, 19'��. <br /> MOTION : Title having been read, Councilman Hendexson <br /> introduced the following resolution and moved, seconded <br /> by Councilman Leipzig, its adoption : <br /> � RESOLUTION N0. 7250 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR <br /> THE FURNISHING AND INSTALLATION OF STEEL BOOK <br /> STACKS; AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR <br /> BIDS TH�REFOR <br /> In response to question, City I,ibrarian Vollmayer advised <br /> that the Technical Processes Department acquires and <br /> processes new library ma.terials and that that operation <br /> will move to the 900 Ma.in Street buildin� where a small <br /> amount of the total order for shelving will be used. <br /> Mr. Vollmayer indicated that most of the shelving is <br /> intended for storage purposes. <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote . <br /> � <br /> Call for bids - <br /> � <br /> two -passenger tra.nsit vehicles <br /> City Manager Fales referred to his report of August 23, <br /> 1974 regarding approval of specifications and ca.11ing <br /> for bids for the sub�ect vehicles. <br /> In response to question, Director of Buildings and <br /> Transportation Moen advised that delivery date on the <br /> two vehicles cannot be determined until bids are <br /> received . <br /> In response to question, Mr. Fales stated that it would <br /> be possible to test a bus route to Canada College, but <br /> that additional equipment would be required to establish <br /> such a route on a regular basis . Mr. Fales observed <br /> that the $60,000 included in the City ' s 1974-75 applica- <br /> tion to the Metropolitan Transporta.tion Commission for <br /> the purpose of purchasing two additional buses indicated <br /> the buses are to be used in the Middlefield Road area. <br /> MOTION : Title having been read, Councilman Williams <br /> introduced the following resolution and moved, seconded <br /> by Councilman Henderson, its adoption: <br /> � <br /> RESOLUTION N0. 7251 APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS FOR <br /> �r THE FURNISHING OF TWO GASOLINE POWERED TRANSIT <br /> COACHES; AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR <br /> BIDS THERFFOR <br /> The resolution was adopted unanimously by roll call vote . <br /> -9- <br /> Reg.Mt . <br /> s/2E/?� <br />, <br />
