Mr. Schroeter displayed a slide <br /> to indicate where these elements fit into the General <br /> Plan program being considered by the Planning Commis- <br /> sion. He commented on the quantity of background work <br /> """"� which has gone into the proposed elements and on the <br /> intentions of the Planning Commission with regard to <br /> � review procedures for all of the General Plan elements. <br /> In response to question, Mr. Schroeter and City Manager <br /> Fales commented regarding the difficulty in being specific <br /> concernin� the implementation portion of the elements <br /> because of the nature of certain elements, the lack of <br /> direction from the State and the circumstances relating <br /> to development of technical equipment which might be <br /> required in order to implement the noise element, for <br /> example. <br /> Lengthy discussion followed and Mr. Schroeter and Mr. <br /> Fales commented concerning the proposed elements and <br /> the action which mi�ht be required to implement them <br /> and the ability of local government to take necessary <br /> action. <br /> Discussion continued and Councilmen indicated certain <br /> revisions in the element statements which should be <br /> made. (See motion below) <br /> (The Council recessed from 9:�5 to 9:56 p.m. ) <br /> � Mayor Weymouth invited anyone present who wished to <br /> ;�, speak to do so. <br /> Verda W mer, 347 G Street, Northeast Redwood City Com- <br /> mun y Association, cited the lar�e number of unusual <br /> sources of excessive noise in her neighborhood, men- <br /> tioning specifically that caused by those attending <br /> -�- <br /> Reg.Mt . <br /> 9/16/7�+ <br />
