Letter of January 30 , 1974 from Mid-Peninsula Cab Co . , Inc . , requesting approval of increase in taxi fares MOTION : Councilman Leipzig moved , seconded by Councilman Rhodes , to refer the subject letter to the Transportation Committee for review and report back to Council . Discussion followed concerning the possible desirability of referring the letter to staff for report back to the full Council . The motion carried by majority voice vote . Vice Mayor Henderson requested her " No " vote be recorded . ( MINUTE ORDER NO . 74-34 ) 2 . Letter of January 22 , 1974 from Judith S . Kirk re storm damage claim City Attorney Schricker advised that it appears that the claim of Mrs . Kirk may not have been pursued with sufficient diligence by the City ' s insurance carrier . Vice Mayor Henderson ordered the letter be referred to staff for investigation and report . ( MEMO 2/12/74 ) Oral Communications 1 . Reverend Bob Pearl, Word of Life Fellowship Center , called attention to the thefts of cars and a truck and considerable vandalism which has occurred in the vicinity of the Word of Life Fellowship Center and asked for assistance . Vice Mayor Henderson requested staff to look into the matter and report back . ( MEMO 2/12/74) EXECUTIVE SESSION MOTION : Councilman Rhodes moved , seconded by Councilman Weymouth , to adjourn to Executive Session . The motion carried unanimously by voice vote . Vice Mayor Henderson announced that the Council would reconvene only for the purpose of adjourning . The Council adjourned to Executive Session at 9 : 14 p .m . ADJOURNMENT MOTION : Councilman Weymouth moved , seconded by Councilman Rhodes , to adjourn to a Joint Meeting with the Parks and Recreation Commission at 7 : 30 p .m . , Thursday, February 21, 1974 in the Community Activities Building .
