Kuebelbeck stated that such a paragraph would be entirely acceptable to his <br /> organization and that it would be anticipated no extra cost would be involved . <br /> Vice Mayor Henderson determined that it was the consensus of Council that the <br /> paragraph requested by Councilman Norris be included in the Study and so ordered . <br /> ( MEMO 2/12/74 ) <br /> Mr . Kuebelbeck confirmed that it is his intention to make several presentations as <br /> required by the City and the Port and also that the terms of the Study provide him <br /> adequate flexibility . <br /> Dr . Robert Brown , 992 Durlston Road , Redwood City, President of the Board of Port <br /> Commissioners , expressed the Commission ' s appreciation of the relationship between <br /> the Council and the Commission and urged support of the funding of a portion of the <br /> cost of the Study by the City . <br /> Fred Di Pietro , Port Manager, 775 Harbor Boulevard , thanked the Council for their <br /> interest in development of the Port and urged approval of the partial funding of <br /> the proposed Study . <br /> Ron MacQuarrie , 558 Keelson Circle , Redwood City , urged the Council to approve the <br /> expenditure of funds for the proposed Study . Mr . MacQuarrie suggested that on <br /> page 11 , in Section 2 that " and the City Manager " be added to the first paragraph <br /> regarding ratification of the choice of subcontractor by the Port Manager . <br /> Vice Mayor Henderson determined that it was the consensus of Council that " and the <br /> City Manager" be added as recommended by Mr . MacQuarrie . ( MEMO 2/12/74 ) <br /> City Manager Fales advised that the Planning Department budget for 1973-74 contains <br /> appropriated, but uncommitted, funds in the amount of $38 , 925 which it is anticipat- <br /> ed would be the source of the City ' s $25 , 000 contribution to the cost of the pro- <br /> posed Study . <br /> MOTION : Councilman Weymouth moved , seconded by Councilman Rhodes , to approve an <br /> expenditure of $25 , 000 for Port Study purposes . <br /> The motion carried unanimously by voice vote .
