Mr. Gu�da, advised that Ci�y participation was <br /> not anticipated in the Master Plan, but donations total only <br /> about $2,000. Assistant City Ma.nager Smith stated that the <br /> Commission might tietermi.ne wha� they t�rant in the wa,y of a <br /> Memorial ar�d ii' adequa te Y'unds are not ava3_la.ble from cUn- <br /> tributions, then the sub,ject could go through ordir�ary <br /> budget procedure. <br /> Mr. Weeks advi.sed that the Community Pa.rlc will have to be developed <br /> in phases accordi.ng to priorities with the ball diam,ond to be <br /> finished now and the park a.reas defined. Additional picnj_c and <br /> glay areas, tennis c�urts and the lagoon �r�ill have to come later <br /> ti�rith perha�s as many as five phases to complete the Park. <br /> Commi.ssioner Pound, chairman of the subcommittee on COMMISSION <br /> RELATIONS presented their ob,jectives, as follocvs : <br /> Evaluate Commission Ro1es and Responsibilities <br /> Code of Ethics <br /> rs, oun istra.buted copies o.f the Code of Ethics drafted <br /> '�" by the subcommittee for presentation to �he Commission. The <br /> Code has been proposed with the intent of proti�iding a state- <br /> '� ment of obligations and responsibilities of C�mmi.ssioners <br /> and obtaining their fUll participation while $erving on the <br /> Commission. <br /> Discussion follo4�ed concerning the dPsira.bility of such a <br /> Code and the need to have it reviewed by the City Att�rney' s <br /> ofi�'ice before it is present�d to the Cammission. <br /> Mrs. Pound a.lso advised that a manual is being prepared £�x <br /> members ��' th� Pa.rl;s and Recrea,tion Commission to acqua.int <br /> them with the duties and acti.vities of the Commissi.on and <br /> to anti_c7_pate their questions. <br /> Commission Rel�tions with Other Commissior►c <br /> T e ommission as me� tal mem ers of t e Civi.c Cu1_tural <br /> Commiss3_on and presently plans to meet; with a San Mate�a <br /> County group. <br /> Community Relations <br /> e ommission p ans to continue a.nd rei.nforce its i.rivol,re- <br /> ment with neighborhood ass�ciatians. <br /> ,�,,.
