( j ) Request by Councilman Henderson for approval to attend Seismic Safety Committee meeting on January 18 , 1973 , in Sacramento , (MINUTE ORDER #73 -6 ) . Councilman Norris moved to approve CONSENT CALENDAR , ITEMS ( f) through ( j ) , seconded by Councilman Williams and carried on roll call vote , Councilman Rhodes being noted absent . COMMUNICATIONS : ( a ) WRITTEN - Copies submitted to Council , 1 , City of San Mateo request for Council consideration for participation in support of San Mateo High School Marching Band attendance at inauguration parade , Washington , D . C . , on January 20 , 1973 . Councilman Norris expressed pride in fact that a high school band in San Mateo County had been selected , but felt he could not support use of Redwood City ' s funds to support this request . Councilman Norris moved that Council support and encourage local residents , business and organiza- tions to contribute to and support the fund so that the Band does have the opportunity to attend the inaugural parade , seconded by Councilman Williams . Councilman Williams added that he knew that service clubs in the area have been contacted regarding funds , both privately and as clubs , and these organizations are responding , Motion carried , (MINUTE ORDER #73 -7) . Councilman Weymouth moved to adjourn to an Adjourned Regular Meeting on January 17 , 1973 , at 4 : 00 P . M . , City Manager ' s Office , City Hall , seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried .
