459 <br /> City Manager advised that the allocation of $11 , 200 approved by <br /> Council would come from Revenue Sharing Funds just received in <br /> the amount of $130 , 960 , and would supplement the $1 , 000 provided <br /> in the General Fund Budget . Execution of an agreement with <br /> Community Education Center was recommended . <br /> (b) Proposed allocation for Library Capital Improvements to provide <br /> for air conditioning at Schaberg Branch Library , and lighting <br /> and re - signing of the entrance to the Main Library . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to introduce Ordinance appropriating $8 , 500 and <br /> $ 11 , 200 from unappropriated balance of Federal Revenue Sharing Fund to <br /> appropriation for Capital Expenditures , Library Department for Capital <br /> Improvements ; and to appropriation for Supplies and Other Services , Other <br /> Non-Departmental Programs , Department of City Controller for operation of <br /> Community Education Center , respectively , seconded by Councilman Norris <br /> and carried , Councilman Rhodes voting no , <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6953 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZ - <br /> ING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH THE COMMUNITY EDUCATION CENTER FOR PERFORMANCE <br /> OF CERTAIN COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES , seconded by Councilman Leipzig and carried on <br /> roll call vote , Councilman Rhodes voting no . <br /> Recommendations for Stop Entrances . <br /> Report submitted to Council by Staff recommended establishment of stop signs <br /> at Price Avenue and Brewster Avenue ; Brewster Avenue at Main Street , and <br /> Cringle Drive at Peninsula Parkway . All three stop signs were to be located <br /> at the end of their respective streets , intersecting a through street , and <br /> met the warrants for stop signs . <br /> Councilman Norris commented on an intersection in Redwood Shores where there <br /> is an existing stop sign which he felt should be removed , and questioned how <br /> this could be accomplished . <br /> City Manager suggested that if Council desired , the matter could be referred <br /> to Staff and brought back with a recommendation at the next meeting . <br /> (Memo 7/11/73 ) <br /> There was a brief discussion concerning the phrase , "meets the warrants " , <br /> and Councilman Henderson felt it would be worthwhile to have Staff report back <br /> as to how these are used to establish need for stop signs . <br /> (Memo 7/11/73 ) <br /> Councilman Norris moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6954 ESTABLISHING AND DECLARING <br /> DESIGNATED ENTRANCES TO DESIGNATED INTERSECTIONS TO BE STOP ENTRANCES , <br /> seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call vote . <br /> 7/9/73 <br /> Reg .
