( Council action will deny claims and refer to insurance carrier) (MINUTE ORDER. #73 -132 -A and #73 -132 -B ) ( j ) ACCOUNTS PAYABLE , Nos , 1445 to 1513 , inclusive , totaling $ 117 , 734 . 52 . ( Council action will approve accounts for payment by the City) ( k ) Since no special meetings requests for Council approval , Vice Mayor stated it might be appropriate at this time to authorize Mayor and Vice Mayor voting delegates for the Annual League of California Cities Conference and the Annual National League of Cities Conference , if approved by Council . Councilman Weymouth moved to authorize Mayor Keckley to be the Voting Delegate , and Vice Mayor Henderson as Alternate Delegate , for both of these Conferences , seconded by Councilman Norris and carried (MINUTE ORDER #73 -133 ) Councilman Williams moved to approve CONSENT CALENDAR, Items ( d ) through ( j ) seconded by Councilman Rhodes and carried unanimously on roll call vote , Mayor Keckley being noted absent , Information Items ( City Manager) (a ) Change of classification in replacing a position in Public Works Depart - ment , City Manager advised this was for informational purposes only and required no Council action . (b ) Emerald Lakes Hillside -Redwood City General Plan . Notification from County Manager regarding an evening meeting date to be held October 17 or 18 . City Manager stated this notification was for ascertaining Council ' s direction as to desirability of meeting and date scheduling of two nights suggested , since County Board of Supervisors had not as yet defined either . Council discussion indicated they would calendar both dates for confirmation by Board of Supervisors , since it was evident not all Counci members might be able to attend anyway . COMMUNICATIONS : Councilman Norris commented on communication received from Mr , McGuire concerning a problem he was making City aware of and would ask that Staff report back after an investigation . City Manager advised Staff was already working on this situation and a report would be made to Council on the outcome . City Clerk was directed to acknowledge Mr . McGuire ' s communication and advise him of his matter being re - ferred to Staff and that he would be advised when information received . (Memo 9/21/73 ) Councilman Rhodes moved to adjourn to Executive Session at 10 : 15 p . m . , for discussio ' of a personnel matter , seconded by Councilman Leipzig and carried . Regular Meeting reconvened at 10 : 56 p . m . , and thereafter on motion of Councilman Norris , seconded by Councilman Rhodes , moved to adjourn meeting to an Adjourned Regular Meeting , 7 : 30 p . m . , September 18 , 1973 , Veterans Memorial Building, 1455 Madison Ave . , Redwood City , for a joint meeting with the Planning Commission .
