26 5 <br /> Ordinance was introduced at Council ' s Adjourned <br /> Regular Meeting of December 21 , 1972 , and affi - <br /> davit of publication was on file . <br /> (b ) Acceptance of Memoranda of Understanding with the Redwood City Police <br /> Officers ' Association , and Fire Fighters Local 2014 , and authorization <br /> for implementation thereof retroactive to January 1 , 1973 , by intro- <br /> duction of ordinances : <br /> (MINUTE ORDER #73 -1) <br /> ( 1 ) Ordinance establishing salaries for certain designated <br /> employees of the Redwood City Police Department ; and <br /> repealing Section 20 of Ordinance No . 1519 ; <br /> (2 ) Ordinance establishing salaries for certain designated <br /> employees of the Redwood City Fire Department ; and <br /> repealing Section 2 of Ordinance No . 1519 . <br /> ( c ) ACCOUNTS PAYABLE , Nos . 94168 to 94396 , inclusive , totaling $ 565 , 268 . 19 . <br /> ( Council action would approve accounts for payment of City) . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to approve CONSENT CALENDAR , Items ( a) through ( c ) , <br /> seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on roll call vote , Councilman <br /> Rhodes being noted absent . <br /> COMMUNICATIONS : <br /> (a) Copies of written communications had been submitted to Council . Mayor <br /> Keckley noted that one of the communications received was from the <br /> Civic Cultural Commission , and invited Mr . George Dragan , Secretary <br /> of the Commission , to comment . <br /> Mr . George Dragan, Secretary of Civic Cultural <br /> Commission, indicated that the Commission was <br /> proposing a City-wide art show to be held on <br /> March 10-11 at various sites , and were request- <br /> ing approval of Council in concept , since there <br /> was to be a meeting the next Thursday . <br /> He suggested the possible use of Municipal buses <br /> to carry people from one area to another on those <br /> dates . <br /> Councilman Leipzig moved to approve the concept of a City-wide arts show , <br /> and to refer the request for use of City buses in this connection to the <br /> Council Transportation Committee , seconded by Councilman Henderson and <br /> carried . <br /> (MINUTE ORDER #73 -2 ) <br /> (b ) Oral Communications : <br /> Mr . David W . Leahy, attorney , submitted a <br /> request card indicating he wished to speak <br /> on the subject of the City employees ' strike . <br /> Mayor Keckley advised that it was his ruling that at a public Council meeting <br /> there would be no discussion nor negotiating of employee contracts .
