Councilman Rhodes moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6892 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF REVOCABLE PERMIT FOR VEHICULAR PARKING PURPOSES ON CITY-OWNED REAL PROPERTY ( Memorex Corporation - 20 spaces ) , RESOLUTION NO . 6893 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF REVOCABLE PERMIT FOR VEHICULAR PARKING PURPOSES ON CERTAIN CITY-OWNED REAL PROPERTY ( Berlin and Goodman - 12 spaces ) , and RESOLUTION NO . 6894 APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF REVOCABLE PERMIT FOR VEHICULAR PARKING PURPOSES ON CERTAIN CITY-OWNED REAL PROPERTY ( Edward A . Hume ., 6 spaces ) , seconded by Councilman Williams . Councilman Henderson questioned whether City was running the risk of completely using up this lot through special parking permits and if so , whether precedent was being established if the lot is needed for general public use . City Manager noted that the lot was furthest away from the Broadway shopping area , and it was hoped would be used more for monthly parking, taking the pressure off Marshall lot and the metered parking for downtown retail shopping purposes . He also advised that Staff was watching the number of rented spaces , amounting to 123 , including the present requests . He noted that in addition , there were the recently approved permits for juror parking , for which the City is paid on a monthly rental basis . It was felt that in addition to relieving use of metered lot and street parking nearer downtown, this would provide better use of the Bradford lot and provide an income from it .
