3 '59
Councilman Henderson noted , in order to apprise the consultants of the kinds
of considerations involved in previous creek projects , where the proposals
were explained in such precise details and involved having the contractor go
out and mark trees that would be removed , and that would be relocated . This
proved very effective in gaining the understanding of the people along the
route of the project .
Councilman Leipzig recalled that the consultant had expressed concern with
respect to where the creek crosses Bayshore , and Mr . He advised that
the agreement did provide for joint maintenance , whereby this function alter-
nates between the two cities . He also noted that if Redwood City had not
cleaned its part of the creek this year , the flooding would have been serious .
Councilman Henderson moved that Council endorse Alternate #3 , with added con-
ditions as enumerated and discussed , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and
carried .
( MINUTE ORDER #73- 53 )
CONSENT CALENDAR :
( a ) Introduction of Ordinance adding Section 2 . 41 . 2 to the Code of the City of
Redwood City establishing a Federal Revenue Sharing Fund ; and appropriating
$2 , 645 from said fund to provide for purchase of supplies and services for
" PROBE" Community Program .
( b ) DAMAGE CLAIM , Umberto Bagnarol , 817 Canyon Road , for property damages at
314 - E Street , allegedly due to roots of City street tree .
