50 <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to approve CONSENT CALENDAR , Items (a ) through <br /> ( d ) , seconded by Councilman Norris . <br /> Vice -Mayor Henderson noted increase in estimates for gasoline require - <br /> ments over the previous year , and also indicated she understood City <br /> was getting away from premium . City Manager responded that some <br /> of the equipment , particularly patrol vehicles , cannot perform on <br /> low-lead gasoline . He indicated the increase in estimate would be <br /> analyzed , and that it might perhaps be due to more road miles . <br /> Motion carried on roll call vote , Mayor Keck.ley being noted absent . <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> ( a ) Written - copies submitted to Council , <br /> 1 . Virginia Lesch , President of Association of Fairoaks Organization <br /> 620 Stanford Ave . , Redwood City , requesting support and contribution <br /> of City in amount of $200 for their Fair to be held on June 3rd , <br /> Councilman Norris reported that after some difficulty , he was able <br /> to locate this lady and learned that this organization is losing EOC <br /> money , and in order to continue providing the same services as <br /> before , were attempting to put on a fair , selling food and clothing <br /> as a community endeavor to show that the citizens are trying to do <br /> for themselves . Their budget calls for S500 for this project , and <br /> they are asking for a contribution of $200 from the City , and were <br /> willing to provide a cost analysis . They had contacted a number of <br /> other organizations to obtain funds , <br /> Councilman Norris moved to approve $200 donation to Association of Fair- <br /> oaks Organizations . Motion died for lack of a second . <br /> 2 , Bay Area Air Pollution Control District advising of a public <br /> hearing to be held May 25th , 7 : 30 P . M . , District Headquarters , <br /> 939 Ellis St . , San. Francisco , inviting expression of views of <br /> operation on their Agenda listing by representatives of cities . <br /> 3 . Mayor of Brisbane asking for support of their position , as taken <br /> also by the Council of Mayors , to oppose request of County for <br /> a County held trust fund of monies accrued under the Mills -Aiquist- <br /> Deddeh Act until voters have voted for or against Rapid Transit , <br /> by requesting taxes be received by the cities as due . <br /> Councilman Williams inquired how much money was involved . City <br /> Manager spoke at some length on the subject , indicating it was <br /> not possible to determine from the Brisbane resolution whether they <br /> meant all of the money due the cities , or that part reserved for <br /> public distribution . He indicated he was not aware of any formal <br /> 5/22 /72 <br />
