1) 5 <br /> Motion carried on roll call vote , Councilman Norris voting no , <br /> and Councilman being noted absent . <br /> Updating of City ' s Building Codes - Phase II , Plumbing and Mechanical Codes . <br /> Staff report indicated that Chief Building Official ' s recommended <br /> second phase for updating City ' s Building Codes would comprise <br /> the Plumbing and Mechanical Codes . 1970 Codes in each instance <br /> are the latest publications of. the Model Codes recognized by the <br /> State of California and HUD , and are proposed to be adopted by the <br /> City , reflecting local procedure and including administration <br /> amendments for the local enforcement function . <br /> City Clerk advised that three (3 ) copies of each of. the Codes <br /> referred to , Uniform Plumbing Code 1970 Edition and Uniform <br /> Mechanical Code 1970 Edition , were on file in Clerk ' s office as <br /> of this date . <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to introduce Ordinance repealing <br /> Article VII ( commencing at Section 9 . 70 ) of Chapter 9 of the Code <br /> of the City of Redwood City ; and adding Article VII ( commencing <br /> at Section 9 . 70 ) to Chapter 9 of the Code of the City of Redwood <br /> City , relating to the establishment of regulations and standards <br /> for the installation and maintenance of heating, ventilating, <br /> comfort cooling and refrigeration systems , including the adoption <br /> by reference of the `Uniform Mechanical Code , 1970 Edition , " as <br /> published by the International Association of.
