He felt City could coordinate with the Port Commissioners <br /> and the Jaycee ' s , and perhaps have bleachers installed . <br /> Summer Recreation Program - Sequoia High School . At the July 10 <br /> meeting, Council asked staff to investigate request by Albert <br /> Franklin for City sponsorship of a recreation program for the <br /> summer . A program has been arranged , starting July 17 and ending <br /> August 18 . Mr . George Collins , a Sequoia faculty member , will <br /> be employed by the City as a recreation leader , with the assistance <br /> of a Neighborhood Youxth Corps worker . The estimated cost to the <br /> City is 5600 , and funds can be made available in Park Department <br /> budget . <br /> PUBLIC HEARING , Resolution of Intention of the Planning Commission to <br /> initiate proceedings to amend the Zoning Ordinance , No . 1130 , <br /> relati-n.T to lot size exceptions , and minimum lot area per family <br /> in certain Districts , declared open and affidavit of publication <br /> -- ordered filed . There were no written communications . <br /> Planning Director indicated that what the amendment in effect <br /> would do would be to take the decision making regarding density <br /> off the lot size , itself , and place it on the developer to get <br /> as many units as he can through ingenuity under guideline ) set <br /> out in the Zoning Ordinance , Planning Commission recognizes <br /> that the Zoning Ordinance gives the misleading impression of <br /> what nay be developed on the property , In response to question <br /> by Councilman Rhodes , he indicated that it was possible that it <br /> might have the effect t of increasing density , but was unlikely , <br /> and noted that the highest density allowed was one unit per 300 <br /> square feet . He also noted that under other recent zoning <br /> amendments , other factors such as setbacks , minimum lot sizes , <br /> open space requirements , etc . , place restrictions so as to <br /> protect the residents and the neighborhood on density . <br /> There being no further discussion , Councilman Williams moved to <br /> close the public hearing , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and <br /> carried , <br /> 7/17/72 <br /> Reg . Mtg . <br />
