In response <br /> to question by Council , Chief Building Official advised that the furnish - <br /> ings had been removed , the interior broom cleaned and the exterior debris <br /> removed . City Attorney stated that the Building Official's report and the <br /> photographs were to be made part of the record . Motion carried . (MINUTE <br /> ORDER #72 -15) (Public Hearing will be continued to February 28 , 1972 since <br /> February 21 , 1972 is a legal City holiday . ) <br /> REPORT OF BID OPENING , City-owned surplus property, Office Trailer , <br /> No bids had been received at the published and scheduled bid opening on <br /> January 19 , 1972 . Notice of Sale provided that Council may hold an auction ; <br /> however , staff recommended that the trailer be included in a forthcoming <br /> County-wide auction to be held in April . <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to authorize sale of the Office Trailer through County <br /> auction procedures , seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried . (MINUTE <br /> ORDER #72 -16 ) <br /> Request for extension of employement for two Construction Inspectors to <br /> February 29 , 1972 . <br /> Council had previously approved extension of employment to January 31 , <br /> 1972 of two Construction Inspectors , pending analysis and reorganization <br /> of the Department of Public Works . Staff report indicated that reorganization <br /> study was in its final stages and would shortly be submitted to Council . <br /> One of the recommendations to be made would be retention of the Public <br /> Works inspection capability , and it was felt to be in the best interest <br /> of the City to extend employment of the present Construction Inspectors <br /> pending final determination by Council on the reorganization . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to authorize extension of the two positions as requested <br /> to February 29 , 1972 , seconded by Councilman Keckley and carried . (MINUTE <br /> ORDER #72 -17 ) <br /> Proposed amendment to Council Agenda providing for "Oral Communications " . <br /> At request of Council , a report was submitted outlining basic procedures <br /> to provide for hearing oral communications on a regular basis , together <br /> with a card form which provided instructions and was for use of those wishing <br /> to participate . <br /> Mayor Bury noted that in the recommendation was the indication that Council <br /> did have the responsibility to regulate the use of this technique so as <br /> not to allow it to become a device for making it difficult to conduct normal <br /> 1 -24-72 <br />
