1_ 99 Councilman Henderson moved that the question of plans and specifica- tions for lighting the Municipal Marina area for the restaurant be referred to the Waterfront Committee for report and recommen- dation, seconded by Councilman Leipzig . Councilman Williams indicated that he questioned whether that Committee should have the responsibility for design and suggested that perhaps it would be better to refer the matter to Staff for review and presentation to the Committee . Maker of the motion indicated this was the intent . Motion carried . (MINUTE ORDER #72 -149 ) Police Department - Vehicle acquisition . Councilman Norris moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6776 APPROVING SPECIFI- CATIONS FOR ONE AUTOMOBILE AND AUTHORIZING CITY CLERK TO CALL FOR BIDS THEREFOR, seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on roll call vote , Councilman Rhodes being noted absent . Councilman Norris moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6777 AUTHORIZING THE DEPARTMENT OF GENERAL SERVICES OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA TO PURCHASE CERTAIN DESIGNATED VEHICLES , seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on roll call vote , Councilman Rhodes being noted absent . Councilman Norris moved to authorize suspension of requirements of Article VII of Chapter 2 of Municipal Code relating to purchase of equipment and supplies , and authorizing City Manager to purchase seven Police Patrol Vehicles through Office of Procurement , Depart- ment of General Services of State of California , seconded by Councilman Henderson and carried on roll call vote , Councilman Rhodes being noted absent . Project completed to the satisfaction of Department of Public Works and is recommended for acceptance , subject to the usual guarantees .
