Motion carried on roll <br /> call vote , Councilman Williams being noted absent . <br /> Reassignment of Texaco Contract for providing City low -lead gasoline . <br /> Council had awarded a contract to Texaco , Inc . , to provide low - lead <br /> gasoline at $0 . 185 per gallon for fiscal year 1972 -73 . Texaco sales <br /> representatives had advised that the bid and contract were in error <br /> and should have been $0 . 1942 per gallon , as submitted in the first <br /> bid rejected by the City . Texaco had negotiated with Union Oil <br /> Company of California to supply City with low -lead gasoline for the <br /> remainder of Fiscal Year 1972 -73 for $0 . 181 per gallon . Staff <br /> recommended reassignment of Texaco contract to Union Oil Company . <br /> Mayor Keckley noted that a Council member had questioned whether <br /> the error was the City ' s or of Texaco . City Manager advised the <br /> error was Texaco ' s . City Attorney indicated that legally the City <br /> could enforce the contract , but that it would be to City ' s advantage <br /> from price standpoint to accept the reassignment . <br /> Councilman Weymouth moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO , 6825 CONDITIONALLY <br /> APPROVING ASSIGNMENT OF AGREEMENT FOR THE PURCHASE OF GASOLINE <br /> REQUIREMENTS FOR THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY, seconded by Councilman <br /> Norris and carried on roll call vote , Councilman Williams being <br /> noted absent . <br /> Councilman Leipzig ' s request for Council discussion of items listed in <br /> Reg.
