' ... -- ..+. 204E resort to Council dated Se s tember 25 1972 , Councilman Leipzig noted that some of the items raised in her memorandum had been responded to by the City Manager . One of those not resolved was the Hetch-Hetchy right of way . City Manager advised that Public Works Department and Park and Recreation Commis - sion were working jointly on a proposal for those segments that could be used . It was hoped that a recommendation will be brought before Park and Recreation Commission and to Council in the not too distant future . Councilman Leipzig mentioned that one of the items concerned a need for a Senior Councelor , noting the City Manager had indicated earlier that the program under which this would be funded had been delayed . City Manager advised that his office was advised there would be no additional allocations in San Mateo County under Older Americans Act until additional studies are conducted , and indicated that Federal policy with respect to continuing funding programs of this kind , in view of revenue sharing , was unknown at this time . Councilman Henderson felt that City should express itself strongly at every opportunity so that revenue sharing does not replace other existing programs , since this would defeat the purpose . Councilman Leipzig commented on the proposed Newsletter , and suggested that until City is equipped and ready to produce the newsletter , it should pay for publication of information in the local newspaper . Councilman Henderson supported the recom- mendation and suggested that the short form of the agenda could be published , and asked that Staff obtain estimates for publica- tion of the agenda in the Thursday edition for perhaps a six -month trial period , beginning in January until budget time . At that time , its success could be examined and determination made as to whether to include in the budget . Councilman Weymouth questioned the time element for publication . Councilman Norris advised that the City of Palo Alto publishes its agenda on Saturdays and that on a contract basis it would cost approximately $31 . 00 per week . Councilman Norris moved to authorize printing the short agenda in the newspaper on a trial basis beginning with the first meeting in January and continuing through July , 1973 , seconded 10/30/72 Reg .
