Redwood City Striders , Boys and Girls Age Group Track Club , <br /> reporting that fifteen girls in Club have been qualified <br /> for national A . A . U . Cross - County Championships , to be <br /> held in Long Beach , November 26 , 1972 , and suggesting <br /> City participation in amount of $250 , the same as last <br /> year , to help defray expenses . Vice -Mayor Henderson <br /> advised that she understood the funds for participation <br /> would come out of the advertising ( community promotion ) <br /> budget , and when the newsletter is started , it may be <br /> necessary to replace the funds . <br /> Councilman Rhodes moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6831 APPROVING AND AUTHOR- <br /> IZING EXECUTION OF AGREEMENT WITH REDWOOD CITY STRIDERS FOR PARTICI - <br /> PATION IN CERTAIN ACTIVITIES PROMOTIVE OF COMMUNITY INTERESTS , seconded <br /> by Councilman Norris and carried on roll call vote , Mayor Keckley and <br /> Councilman Williams being noted absent . <br /> 2 .
