9C-) Councilman Williams moved to approve CONSENT CALENDAR, Items (a ) through ( c ) , seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call vote , Mayor Keckley and Councilman Norris being noted absent . COMMUNICATIONS : (a ) WRITTEN - Copies submitted to Council . 1 . Notice of expiration of term of office as of January 1 , 1973 , of Henry Beeger , City ' s representative on County Mosquito Abatement District , and request for appointment of representative effective January 1 , 1973 . 2 , John R . Guilhamet , Acting County Engineer, transmittal of report to the County Board of Supervisors from County Engineer and Road Commissioner , proposing delay in con- struction, Edgewood Road Widening project , and request- ing Council ' s recommendations . City Manager indicated there had been several prelimin- ary conversations with Staff of County Engineer ' s office and one initial conversation with City of San Carlos , and it was felt that a great deal more time was needed in order to interface the planning effort of the two Cities and the County . He stated Staff would favor the kind of delay suggested . Councilman Rhodes indicated he would like to see Council go further , and oppose any widening of Edgewood Road at any time . He felt that widening the road to four lanes between Route 280 and Alameda de las Pulgas would en- courage heavier traffic . Following discussion Vice -Mayor Henderson suggested Council leave the matter in the hands of Staff to continue discussions and study , with the County and City of San Carlos . (Memo 11/21/72 ) Councilman Weymouth moved to cancel Regular Council Meeting of November 27 , 1972 ( lack of a quorum) , and to adjourn the meet- ing , seconded by Councilman Williams and carried .
