41 30 <br /> Required agreement with San Mateo County , the Program Agent , had now been <br /> received , regarding the EEA program , which has been underway for several <br /> months . Agreement formalized the existing program for funds already allocated . <br /> Motion carried on roll call vote , Councilman Henderson being noted absent . <br /> Proposed Management Training Program . City Manager ' s report described the proposed <br /> Motivational Management Program , to be conducted by Direction Corporation <br /> of Los Altos , as being a sixteen week program with two groups of eight persons <br /> each . Program would consist of individual study plus a seminar approach on <br /> a weekly basis . Total cost would be approximately S5 , 200 , of which S770 would <br /> be a one -time charge for two master kits which would be used for subsequent <br /> programs involving other management personnel . Funds were available in the <br /> training allocations of the various departments . <br /> Councilman Williams moved to authorize preparation of agreement with Direction <br /> Corporation and commence the program , seconded by Councilman Keckley and <br /> carried . (MINUTE ORDER #72 -43 ) <br /> Traffic Control Recommendations <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to introduce Ordinance amending Section 20 . 45 of Chapter <br /> 20 of the Code of the City of Redwood City , relating to prima facie speed <br /> limits , seconded by Councilman Weymouth . Traffic Engineer had conducted speed <br /> zone survey on Marine World Parkway between Bayshore Interchange and Bridge <br /> Parkway over a ten-hour period , and determined that 35 -mph speed limit was <br /> justified , concurred in by Public Works Department . Motion carried . <br /> Councilman Keckley moved to adopt RESOLUTION NO . 6688 ESTABLISHING AND DECLARING <br /> DESIGNATED ENTRANCES TO DESIGNATED INTERSECTIONS TO BE STOP ENTRANCES , seconded <br /> by Councilman Rhodes . Resolution would establish and declare some 17 exist- <br /> ing entrances to intersections in Redwood Shores to be Stop entrances . The <br /> developer installed stop signs at time of construction without legal approval . <br /> Certain stop signs would be removed as unnecessary . The stop entrances in <br /> the resolution had been reviewed and were recommended by the Traffic Committee <br /> and Department of Public Works . Motion carried on roll call vote , Councilman <br /> Henderson being noted absent . <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR : <br /> ( a ) Motion to approve retention of two Public Works Construction Inspectors for <br /> indefinite period as requested by City Manager . (MINUTE ORDER #72 -44 ) <br /> Following the approval of the Public Works <br /> reorganization plan by Council , which included <br /> the retention of the inspection function , City <br /> Manager recommended retaining the two Public <br /> Works Construction Inspectors indefinitely . <br /> Adequate funds are available within the Department <br /> of Public Works budget without any additional <br /> appropriation of funds for salaries , <br /> (b ) Adopt ORDINANCE NO . 1525 APPROPRIATING $ 17 , 000 FROM UNAPPROPRIATED BALANCE OF <br /> 2 -28-72 <br />
