M . <br /> MARIAN McCRINDLE, City Clerk <br /> 1 .3-72 <br /> Minutes of Regular Meeting <br /> Redwood City Council <br /> January 10 , 1972 7 : 30 P .M . <br /> Pledge of Allegiance was led by Councilman Petersen . <br /> Invocation was led by Reverend Richard Minesinger , Seventh Day Adventist <br /> Church , <br /> ON ROLL CALL , the following were noted present : Councilmen Mary W . Henderson , <br /> Herbert G . Petersen , William C . Rhodes , Ray A Weymouth , James S . Williams , <br /> Mayor Robert H . Bury , and City Clerk Marian McCrindle , Councilman Paul <br /> C . Keckley was noted absent . Also noted present were City Manager James <br /> M. Fales , Jr . , City Attorney David E . Schricker , Assistant City Manager <br /> James M . Smith , Police Chief John R . McDonald , Jr . , Planning Director Ken <br /> Schroeter , and Deputy City Clerk Frances I . Reggetts . <br /> Roll call was taken of the Sequoia High School Government Affairs Program <br /> students , with the following noted present : Don Russell , Kathryn Zonneveld - <br /> Piek , Ben Forshee , Wesa Hardisty and John May . Noted absent were Colleen <br /> Wells and Kathy Kelly . <br /> Councilman Henderson moved to approve , as submitted , Minutes of Regular Meeting <br /> of January 3 , 1972 , and Minutes of Executive Session of January 3 , 1972 , <br /> seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried , <br /> Mayor Bury noted that prior to the meeting , copies of a newly issued Community <br /> Handbook, prepared by the League of Women Voters of South San Mateo County , <br /> had been distributed to members of Council by Mrs . Blacet , their representative . <br /> Association of Bay Area Governments , election of President and Vice President . <br /> Nominees for two -year terms beginning March 1 , 1972 were : For President : <br /> Councilman Donald F . Dillon , City of Fremont , and for Vice President : Supervisor <br /> Warren N . Boggess , County of Contra Costa . Councilman Henderson asked that <br /> the record show that she supported the two candidates for those offices . <br /> Voter Ballots were cast by Council members present and returned in sealed <br /> identification envelopes to the City Clerk , who is to file the ballots with <br /> the Executive Director prior to February 2 , 1972 . <br /> 1 -10-72 <br />
