(Council <br /> action would approve accounts for payment by City) <br /> Councilman Williams moved to approve CONSENT CALENDAR , Items (a ) , ( c ) and (d ) , <br /> seconded by Councilman Weymouth and carried on roll call vote . (MINUTE <br /> ORDER #71- 56A , B) <br /> COMMUNICATIONS : <br /> 1 . Water Quality Control Advisory Committee of County of San Mateo , <br /> regarding the need for adoption of a Water Quality Control Program <br /> for San Mateo County and requesting Council indication of support <br /> for development of such a program . <br /> Mayor Bury asked that recommendation be <br /> amended to read : to refer to Staff for <br /> report back to Council . (Memo 3 -24-71 ) <br /> 2 , Bay Area Grocers Association, regarding their viewpoints on non- <br /> returnable container legislation and recommendations for future on <br /> this problem . (Referred to Council by Mayor Bury ) <br /> Councilman Henderson reported that she had received notice of her appointment <br /> as League of California Cities representative to Governor Reagan ' s Inter- <br /> departmental Committee on Housing . <br /> Councilman Keckley called attention to proposed Ordinance relating to permits <br /> for solicitors , peddlers and charitable sales , copies of which had been <br /> provided to Council for review , and asked if Council had any questions they <br /> be referred to him . Mayor Bury commented that he hoped garage sales would <br /> come under consideration . <br /> Mayor Bury noted that the Federal Government was offering flood control insurance , <br /> and asked thata committee be formed , with Councilman Williams as chairman , of <br /> individuals in the insurance field , to consider this proposal and report back <br /> to Council . He felt that certain questions , such as having a General Plan , <br /> would justify receiving recommendations from people experienced in the insurance <br /> field , (Memo 3-24-71 ) <br /> Councilman Petersen moved to adjourn by adoption of RESOLUTION NO . 6475 COMMEMORATING <br /> THE MEMORY OF JAMES C . WARD , and to an Adjourned Regular Meeting , March 24 , 1971 , <br /> 7 : 30 P . M . , Veterans Memorial Building, 1455 Madison Avenue , Redwood City, seconded <br /> by Councilman Williams and carried on roll call vote . <br /> Meeting adjourned at 11 : 15 P .
