147 Grant Ross , 465 Trident Drive , questioned reason for residents in Redwood Shores having to pay more for meter reading than in rest of Redwood City . Deputy Director of Public Works explained that the difference in charges is not for reading meters , but funding created by Ordinance for partial redemption of outstanding bonds for water service improvements in that area , Considerable discussion continued , including the effect on ad valorem tax of profit or loss on various water systems . City Controller advised that after profit and loss statements are prepared , it is possible there will be reduction in the ad valorem tax , Account 645 - Water System Facility Improvements : Mayor Bury raised question of potential improvement in capacity to provide water to Port area, and inquired if any consideration was given to this possibility , stating there have been inquiries and criticism relative to capability to fight fires , Deputy Director of Public Works advised this was not included in budget , and suggested he could make report to City Manager for further discussion of the matter . Councilman Henderson noted the amount budgeted for Emerald Lake water system improvements was similar to last year ' s budget . Deputy Director of Public Works stated that it is being used , and if Board of Supervisors accepts County Engineer ' s recommendations there will be an assessment district up there and County will have assessments for water system improvements , When that happens , this budget item will be dropped . It will be a lump sum complete system improvement . In answer to question, he confirmed these were expenditures of funds raised specifically from within that area . It was noted this matter will be considered by Board of Supervisors on May 18th at 3 : 15 P .M. Account 645 approved as submitted . Account 650 - Sanitary Sewers : In answer to question , City Controller stated that Holiday Overtime shown on Page 150 should be shown as Overtime . Account 650 approved , with correction noted , Account 651 - Sewage Treatment Plant : Approved as submitted , Mayor Bury noted a commitment of Council to maintain Zimmerman Field , Staff advised it was reseeded on April 29th .
