Minutes of Regular Meeting Redwood City Council January 18 , 1971 7 : 30 P . M. Pledge of Allegiance led by Councilman Keckley . Invocation led by Reverend J . Warne Sanders , Woodside Road United Methodist Church . ON ROLL CALL , the following were noted present : Councilmen Mary W . Henderson , Paul C . Keckley , Herbert G . Petersen , William C . Rhodes , Ray A . Weymouth , Mayor Robert H . Bury , and Acting City Clerk. Frances I . Reggetts . Also noted present were City Manager Howard C . Ulirich , City Attorney David E. Schricker , Police Chief John R . McDonald , Jr . , Fire Chief John Keller , City Auditor-Accountant Jack Ference , Chief Building Official Charles Gyselbrecht , Planning Director Ken Schroeter , City Treasurer- Collector Harriet Drivon , and Acting Secretary Evelyn Styler . Councilman Keckley moved to approve , as mailed , Minutes of Regular Meeting of January 11 , 1971 , and Minutes of Executive Session of January 11 , 1971 , seconded by Councilman Henderson , and carried . Mayor Bury advised that Council had received a letter from Lockheed Missiles & Space Company , signed by their attorney , Robert J . Costello , and countersigned by Richard C . Collet of Leslie Salt Company , which was read in full by City Manager , requesting continuance to February 15 , 1971 , of Item ( a ) of Consent Calendar pertaining to adoption of Ordinance rezoning property in the vicinity of Redwood Creek and the Leslie Salt Pile . The letter stated that the purpose of the request was to permit the applicant , Lockheed Missiles & Space Company , and the City Administration to develop mutually acceptable solutions to technical building construction problems which have recently become apparent . Councilman Henderson suggested that Council might wish to proceed with this matter since previous discussion considered what was the best zoning for this property . She suggested it might be desirable from the City ' s point of view to continue with the rezoning to General Industrial . Mayor Bury pointed out that a third party , the owner of the property , is involved as well as the actual user of the property , and he felt Council should perhaps respond to the request for delay in the legislative process to permit orderly fulfillment of the original request .
